Royal Selangor's Jelly Making Workshop

Royal Selangor's Jelly Making Workshop @ Breast Cancer Awareness

Hey everyone! You’re all invited to Royal Selangor's jelly-making workshop, which is happening this October. It’s not only fun, but it’s a great way to do your bit for charity.
For only RM200, you can have fun making jelly and also enjoy scrumptious afternoon tea. You can also take home your very own pewter jelly mould, designed by UK’s Nick Munro. Most importantly, RM70 from your participation fee will be donated to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association.

Date: Saturday, 10 Oct 2009 & 24 Oct 2009
Time: 3.00pm - 5.00pm

Venue: The Royal Selangor Visitor Centre Café.

Private workshops on other days can be organised for groups of between 20 and 30 pax, but this is subject to availability. The sessions can also be customised according to your specific requirements. For enquiries and bookings, please call Letchumy at: +603-4145 6345 or Maria at: +
603-4145 6237, or visit the nearest Royal Selangor retail store.

I'm definitely going to join, I spoke to Mr. Subari & Mr. Jeffri at Curve's Royal Selangor Shop and they showed me the pewter jelly mould and the jelly making recipes! I really like to have my 1st pewter and use it for making jellies for my party/pot-lucks/dinners! The nice guys told me that if I could get a group of people to join, we can have our own private workshop on selected dates! Well I don't think many of you would fork out rm200 to join this workshop just to learn jelly but bear in mind the jelly mold is already rm160 & it's royal selangor pewter (great for kitchen show-offs & ice breaker), there's lunch & rm70 goes to charity. On top of that you learn how to make jelly which is something easy I know, but I'd really like a hands on workshop. Anyone interested please leave your emails here? if we have a group of 20 pax, we can have our own private workshop! otherwise I'll be joining the other workshops!

Shu Uemura Red Juvenus

Shu Uemura launches the red:juvenus anti-aging line

Did you know that your resident shopaholic queen was invited to the Shu Uemura's Red Juvenus Workshop alongside Paris B, Beetrice, Emmagem & Skindeco at Mid Valley 2 weeks ago? yes! no kidding! and what's the red juvenus u say? Well sisters, the red:juvenus is the latest breakthrough in skincare technology by Shu Uemura to prevent the first signs of aging. Ok I can hear screams and denial now! who's that saying no no I'm not aging? coz sisters we all start aging at some point and it's never too late to take care of skin! how? by prevention of course! (cheaper than botox alright).

What are some first signs of aging?
(besides
dull skin, loss of elasticity, and fine lines)

  1. pores around nostrils are open vertically
  2. in the morning, it takes a while for the pillow trace on cheeks to disappear
  3. in the evening, skin complexion around the eyes/mouth becomes obviously uneven
  4. although overall skin condition tends to be oily, some spots suffer from dehydration
Throughout Asia, it is believed that a balanced flow of energy is vital in maintaining beauty & health. As we age, exposure to harmful UV rays & environmental stresses causes oxidative damages & alters communication between skin cells, interfering with skin's essential flow. As a result, first signs of aging such as skin lumpiness & dullness start to appear. Shu uemura focuses on the flow of 3 essential elements - energy, water & nutrients that help to keep skin supple, firm & radiant.

red:juvenus goes beyond prevention
to visibly correct signs of aging

IT'S SO RED! yes girls if u pass by any Shu Uemura shop, you'll be captivated by the power and energy of the red juvenus (if not u would be staring into the red like I have for the past few weeks). Empowered with Phyto-Red Energy Complex, the red:juvenus is designed to protect against free radicals and vitalize skin cells by enhancing the flow of essential elements for youthfully, radiant skin.

Amalaki, Pomegranate & Lycopene Capsule 2X

Phyto-Red Energy Complex is a combination of cherished red phyto-ingredients - Amalaki, Pomegranate & Lycopene Capsule 2X (tomato?) which unlocks the secret to the restoration of firmness, vigor & youthfulness to the skin.

The red: juvenus line includes:

Vitalizing Refining Lotion rm145 – A light feeling textured lotion that contains Hibiscus Flower extract helps to renew and refine the look of skin’s surface. Spreads quickly for deep penetration into skin layers, to retain moisture content. Skin feels moisturized, looks energized, smooth, refined and radiant. Use after cleansing.

Intense Revitalizing Concentrate rm240 – A vitalizing, translucent gel concentrate that contains the highest concentration of the Phyto-Red Energy complex within the range. Skin looks energized and with the help of Dipeptide, elastin fibers are protected and the loss of skinelasticity is limited. Use after the lotion.

Vitalizing Retexturizing Emulsion rm240 – A retexturizing emulsion that enwraps skin with long-lasting moisture. Skin surface becomes refined and smooth. Enriched with Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Hyaluronic Acid, the emulsion softens and plumps the skin with moisture. Use after
essence.

Vitalizing Retexturizing Cream rm240– A retexturizing gel-cream that nourishes and hydrates the skin with selected lipophilic agents such as lecithin and cholesterol. With Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Hyaluronic Acid, the cream comfortably spreads on the skin and envelopes it to keep it soft and moisturized.

Vitalizing Line-Reducing Eye Essence rm145– A gentle eye essence to reduce the appearance of fine lines, first wrinkles and dark circles. Enhanced with caffeine, the eye essence helps promote a healthy looking glow. Its fresh, light texture leaves the delicate eye area moist and smooths without a filmy residue.

My favorite would be the Vitalizing Refining Lotion. I was pleasantly surprised that this toner did not sting/tingle @ my sensitive cheeks! I highlighted this to the Make-Up Artist who was conducting the workshop. It was a noteworthy item to be pointed out as I don't encounter much toners that don't irritate my sensitive cheeks after use! (irritate = sting/tingle/redness).

Besides the red:juvenus skincare, I was also given the opportunity to try 2 upcoming products from Shu Uemura. I cannot reveal what the 2 items are for now! but I'm so excited to have been one of the first few to try it and I can't wait to attend this Saturday's Shu Uemura Make-Up Workshop @ Sunway Pyramid where I will be seeing Mr. Frederick Ng again!
