    Price Tag

    5.29.2012

listening to Price Tag Jessie J (by the Korean twins Jayesslee)

    "Price Tag"
    (feat. B.o.B)

    [Jessie J]
Okay, Coconut man, Moon Heads and pea
    You ready

Seems like everybody's got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night.
    When the sale comes first,
    And the truth comes second,
Just stop for a minute and
    Smile

    Why is everybody so serious?
    Acting so damn mysterious?
Got your shades on your eyes
    And your heels so high
That you can't even have a good time

    [Pre-chorus:]
Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (uh)
    Can you feel that (yeah)
    We're paying with love tonight

    [Chorus:]
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
    Forget about the price tag
    Ain't about the (uh) Cha-Ching Cha-Ching
    Ain't about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
    Wanna make the world dance,
    Forget about the price tag.

    [Jessie J]
We need to take it back in time,
When music made us all unite!
And it wasn't low blows and video hoes,
Am I the only one getting tired?

    Why is everybody so obsessed?
    Money can't buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now
    Guarantee we'll be feeling alright

    [Pre-chorus]

    [Chorus]

    [B.o.B]
    Yeah yeah
    Well, keep the price tag
    And take the cash back
Just give me six strings and a half stack
And you can, can keep the cars
    Leave me the garage
And all I, yes all I need
    Are keys and guitars
And guess what, in 30 seconds
    I'm leaving to Mars
    Yeah we leaving across
    These undefeatable odds
    It's like this man
You can't put a price on a life
We do this for the love
    So we fight and sacrifice
    Every night
So we ain't gonna stumble and fall
    Never
Waiting to see a sign of defeat
    Uh uh
    So we gonna keep everyone
    Moving their feet
    So bring back the beat
    And then everyone sing

    It's not about the money

    [Chorus 2x]

    [Jessie J ‒ Outro]
    Yeah yeah
    Oh-oh
    Forget about the price tag

    Estee Lauder Staff Sales 2012

    5.28.2012

    diary of a sale addict

I told myself I wouldn't go, but somehow I still went. I told myself no more queuing in the wee morning, but somehow I was sitting on the hotel carpet for more than 7 hours. I told myself enough, this was going to be the last time. I still went, I don't know why. The thrill the excitement, I love it all. Above all, I love spending time with shopaholics and chatting about post pregnancy issues and costs. There's more to shopping that what it seems.

    today 27th May 1.30am

this year wasn't so bad, the 1st line wasn't even filled

5am onwards, people started showing up

the place is getting hotter by the minute, serious

barely still full, compare to 2010 was crazy

1 more hour to opening time! I'm sweaty n smelly already

The crowd wasn't that bad this year. Perhaps the venue change and the limitation of invites given out minimized the sale horror this year. I kinda like it, because when the doors open at 8am for the first shoppers to go in, it wasn't crowded, it wasn't stuffy and nobody was stepping onto my toes with their high heels. I still see familiar faces around! and met my readers >_

my haul, I'm a good girl this year

Actually my budget is only rm300 and I was eyeing Origins this year! but somehow I diverted to Bobbi Brown instead mainly because since I was the 2nd in line, it meant I could buy or see some of the really cool stuffs on sale. I was more focus this time, my first stop was Bobbi Brown, then Origins and follow by DKNY/Coach perfume section. I saw Coach perfume set for RM180 (np RM3XX). DKNY perfume sets goes from RM130 - RM180. They were gone within the first 2 hours of the sale. Origins were mainly 1/2 price, I was looking at Youthopia for some time trying to decide if I should invest in the whole anti-aging range. The price were good but the manufacture year was a bit behind. I love the Origins Ginger Set RM100 (np rm200), regretted I didn't buy the set in 2010 so I decide I should give myself a Christmas present this year. I really love it. I only stopped by by Clinique to get the big bottle of toner 400ml RM45 (pink for combi skin) for Haze. I bet everyone is curious to know what's on Bobbi Brown's table?

At Bobbi Brown, the usual lip glosses, concealer, eye shadows can be seen. However what I was more interested to see is the palettes. Here's a sneak peek!

party shimmer palette, onyx, brow kit and ultimate party collection
    price range from rm64-rm115

I also saw shimmer party brick but it was too shimmery
    forgot how much lol

my precious, my precious! Origins Ginger Set RM100
(Ginger Souffle 100ml, Ginger Burst 100ml, Ginger Essence 50ml)

Bobbi Brown Onyx rm64 and Ultimate Party Collection rm115
(gone in a flash at the table!)

love love love DKNY perfume sets!
    Fresh Blossom 50ml + lotion RM150
    Green Apple 100ml + miniature + lotion RM180

Well all I can say is I am getting more focus in what I want, but still abit crazy due being 1/2 asleep and to compulsive buying. I wish I had more money, I would grabbed more stuffs just to keep for Christmas or Birthday presents. Maybe next year? till then Estee Lauder sales. I love you!!!

    The Kitty is Moving Soon!

    5.26.2012

check out my home sweet home (almost ready)

Renovation is not done yet but we're almost there. The house is old, so there's a lot of fixing to do - the pipes, electrical stuffs, roof, patching, flooring, removing the garden away so there's room for one more small car. The bathroom is disappointingly small so we have it extended. It was ether going for a couple washing place or a bath tub. I decided to sacrifice the bath tub (I KNOW! HOW SAD) but that will make me more appreciative of bath tubs when I go on holidays and have a bath fiesta. Also because I don't use the bath tub everyday (waste energy and water), a He and She bath sinks is better. A rain shower is in place (going to be so awesome for my shower gels). I'll show once it's ready.

Strip Ministry Of Waxing: Publika Solaris Dutamas

    5.25.2012

    ready for the first jump?

I'm feeling really nervous because this Saturday, I have decided to go try something outrageous. I have been thinking about it from time to time and my period just ended so it's a good time to go trim the bush (more like pull it out) and experience a whole new "flat land" and find out why some of my friends do the monthly trip to Brazil religiously. Now when I think of Brazilian Wax there's one place I thought of, mainly because I really like their branding - of an orang utan in their posters. It just seems so cool, in a creative way. The shop interior is also interesting because each shop has a unique theme to it. I know Lot 10 looks like a ship at sea but I wondering what's the theme at Strip Publika, Solaris Dutamas? It's just opposite my condo :)

I missed out the "UnFURgivable" event at Strip Bangsar where I would've gone bare but thankfully, they still remember I'm quite bushy so I've been asked to review my experience at Strip Publika instead. Yes it's a sponsored review, but I will try my best to be "honest" about my bushy experience. Pray hard, I've been avoiding Brazilian Wax for as long as I can but now, it's time for some crazy.

Will I get over the embarrassment of having to show it all?

This new movement is called the Beauty With Heart that will bring together a community of activist-minded beauty devotees. I hope I'm not sounding too religious here! In short this is the formula that makes up the Beauty With Heart movement:

Kinerase Launch: The Great Skincare Debate

    5.16.2012

    have you been kissed?

Last month, I was invited to join the Great Skin Debate at the launch of the Kinerase Innovative Skincare Study (K.I.S.S in short) at Sassorosso, Kuala Lumpur. The launch aims to educate women about Kinerase®, the only professional skin care line to contain optimal concentrations of Kinetin (N6-furfuryladenine) and how it can maintain and enhance the beauty and health of our skin against the effects of time and environment. K.I.S.S results were shared and the media had fun learning and testing the product.

this is where the event was held

Wondering what's the Great Skin Debate was about? well it's an interactive discussion on the science of beautiful skin with 3 important people - Mr. Cheah Chor Eng, Head of Invida Malaysia and Singapore, Dr. Koh Chuan Keng, well known dermatologist and Ms. Tammy Lim (me) the K.I.S.S trial patient who blogged about her Kinerase experience online.

the great skin debate by 3 panelist
(me, Dr.Koh and Mr. Cheah Chor Eng)

I have here a compilation of my experiences in the past 12 weeks for anyone interested to read about my Kinerase skincare journey and what the K.I.S.S is about. It's been truly an amazing experience that I shared on my blog. The Kinerase cream is highly recommended by me should anyone looking for an anti-aging moisturizer that's not have a great texture, quick absorption and reduce visible signs of aging (wrinkles, pigmentation, fine lines, etc) it is also gentle and suitable for all skin types including those with sensitive skin like me.

met Wilson - blogger, photographer and videographer!

K.I.S.S Me card and Polaroid photo taken!

blue kisses are everywhere that day

Here is my K.I.S.S. wish and my best K.I.S.S. pose! – Members of the media posted the ‘K.I.S.S. Me’ card on the K.I.S.S. Wall where they included ‘Wish for their skin’ and left their lip mark with a blue lipstick printed on the card. They also gave their best ‘K.I.S.S. pose and took away the Polaroid shot!

    yummy Italian lunch for everyone

    spot anything else blue?

these kiss jelly cups are interesting
    (also taste good, rainbow inside)

    memento to bring back home

3 lucky gift hampers were given away

hamper - a full set of Kinerase products

I got kissed too on the cheek!

    amazing light weight creamy texture

    the whole Kinerase skincare range

It was an honor to be at the Great Skin Debate, sharing my experience. How often do you get to say, yes this works and have proven skincare trial results to show for? I went through the trial and found that the product worked well for me, even when I have sensitive skin. You don't get to chance on a product like this everyday and it's not readily available on the shelves. One has to go to a dermatologist to get consultation first, have their skin assess and then use the product. It sounds too serious right? well it's actually not that scary or complicated plus a dermatologist would advise you how to use the product and achieve the results you want. If anyone has questions, feel free to drop a comment :)
