  • Myt iPhone X + OtterBox Wish List

    iPhone X 2018 September

Two more months. That's what I'm telling myself. I'm here waiting for the next iPhone X to come or maybe if I can't wait anymore, I'll get the iPhone X GST FREE before SST comes (does SST effects smartphone purchases?). Anyway, you don't know how long I have been wanting to upgrade my current iPhone 6S 16GB to an iPhone X.

NO, I don't care about any other phones being better. I'm an apple fangirl so the only smartphones I'll buy is iPhone. I don't even know how to use android anymore because I've used iPhone like for forever. I still have the original iPhone heh!

The rumors are flying with what Apple will release this September after iPhone 8, iPhone 8Plus and the iPhone X. There's also a cheaper version of iPhone X but they're predicting it's coming out in Nov according to this source here.

5.8in OLED: the successor to the iPhone X, with largely same design.
6.5in OLED: a Plus version of the iPhone X, aka iPhone X Plus or XI Plus.
6.1in LCD: a cheaper iPhone with the same design as the X but slightly large

I'll wait for iPhone X price to drop or get the newer version
(will think about it until September)

when I get my iPhone X, I'm going to fit it with this Defender casing

looks like Kate Spade kinda pattern right? so cute

I highly recommend OtterBox if you're looking for a reliable casing to protect your precious. I've been using OtterBox's iPhone casing since 3 years ago. My current iPhone 6S wears OtterBox (yes wear lol). It's the No. 1 most trusted brand in cell phone case protection and also No.1 selling in the U.S. They have the latest casings for every phone released now.

They did the drop test too!

Each iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X case design undergoes a minimum of 24 tests across more than 238 hours to earn the OtterBox Certified Drop+ Protection seal. These tests ensure lasting protection from drops, bumps, scratches, and dings.

OtterBox iPhone 8Plus series with casings available to suit your needs

AND like your wardrobe, they have a series of casings catered to your taste and needs! I have a hard time trying to choose. I'll go back to Defender series bcoz it seems tougher.
    • The fashionable Symmetry Series is sleek with a raised, beveled edge that provides extra protection for the touchscreen during face-down drops. Available in classic solids, trendy graphics, fully clear and clear graphics, it's the perfect fashion statement.
    • Pursuit Series guards against drop, dust, dirt and snow intrusion, perfect for an outdoor adventure or average day in the office. This two-piece case snaps around each device for a perfect fit. The open-face design seals directly to the display and the case includes an optional lanyard.
    • Defender Series is the original protective case for iPhone with 10 years of design and development behind it. The rugged multi-layer case features a shell and outer slipcover to absorb and dissipate shock.
    • Two form-fitting layers combine to create the thin, protective Commuter Series. The outer shell and inner slipcover combine to pull shock away from the device, and port covers keep debris out.
    • Strada Series Folio offers a luxurious 100 percent genuine leather cover and trusted protection. The folio front clasps securely closed with a magnet to guard the display from scratches and includes a card slot.
    • The uniVERSE Case System features a slim, protective OtterBox case with a modular rail mount on the back that allows attachment of a variety of accessories. OtterBox has partnered with other industry leaders to enhance uniVERSE with accessories like a contactless card reader, additional storage, bike mounts, tripods, wallets and more.
    • Keep the touchscreen brilliant with Alpha Glass fortified screen guards. Compatible with Symmetry Series, Pursuit Series, Commuter Series, Strada Series Folio and uniVERSE Case System, these screen guards block out scratches and complete device protection.

Symmetry Series, Pursuit Series, Defender Series, Commuter Series, uniVERSE Case System, Strada Series Folio and Alpha Glass screen guards are available now for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.3 These cases, available in exciting new colors and designs, are also compatible with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. SK-II Boutique Spa Gardens Mall

SK-II launches Boutique Spa in Malaysia
    claim voucher

I've been busy with work but I'm still alive baby! I have a couple of skincare reviews coming up, as well as my update on my cervical health (remember I talked about going through a TCM treatment?). Will update all that when I can this month. I have been religiously using SK-II for the past couple of months and I am really loving the results of FTE! It does work but it's crazy expensive IMHO. Even the starter kit has increased in price, it used to be under RM200 and you can get started with a kit that comes with a facial mask worth RM50 (Baby G why so expensive this mask?!) and proceeded to use it on his face like a queen.

Anyway, I've been thinking I should do facials because honestly, I didn't go to any facial salons for a long time. I tried Jurlique facial but that didn't go too well as the facial left me with skin irritations and redness (I have sensitive skin).

Then I googled SK-II facial Malaysia and found that SK-II launched earlier this year, their very own boutique spa salon where you can have facials! And even better, there's a 30% off first time facial for anyone who registers before 31st July 2018 (phew made it in time).

SK-II Spa Gardens, Midvalley (2,300 sq ft)

the facial bed uses 2-inch thick natural feather mattress topper
(OMG... I wanna see how good is this?)

Here are the menu treatments. I received a confirmation call from the beautician that a slot opened up tomorrow Saturday at Gardens, so I said YAS. I think I'll go for the most affordable one. Their facial prices aren't that bad compared to all the luxury brand facial treatment price list. Especially with 30% off 1st facial, it's going to be just RM250++ which is your typical "lux" facial price.

I'm going to see what's all the hype about. Yeap paying with my own moolah (not sponsored). I am tempted to get that oxygen facial but... wow the price!

The luxury spa that uses all SK-II products in their treatments is the second location in the world, after Singapore. Here are some points that got me making an appointment:

    1. Two-inch thick natural feather mattress topper
    2. Soft, smooth cotton linens and comforter
    3. Heated mattress pad and leg pillow
    4. Sound-proofed walls

Then their signature treatments besides doing blah and blah, they have a special technique (all facial salons do anyway) that incorporates a curated 55-step facial massage technique to help rejuvenate cells, detoxify and revitalise tired skin.

The most expensive facial - Senze Oxygenated Facial RM748 uses a high-pressurised oxygen "machine" infused with SK-II Facial Treatment Essence to deliver 98% pure oxygen to your skin so you can walk out the salon looking maybe, 10 years younger? I hope so for the price paid.

All time favorite, created to tackle multiple skin concerns. It includes the SK-II's signature 55-step relaxing face massage, eye treatments and finish with a soothing scalp massage.
Highly Recommended! This facial deploys masterful technique & premium SK-II Genoptics products, including a triple-mask care for the face, eyes & neck to deliver a translucent & porcelain clear skin that glows from within.
Rejuvenate the skin with the infusion of oxygen that is delivered deep into the skin. SK-II Treatment Essence is applied with the oxygen spray for an even & deeper penetration. Ideal for all skin types especially sensitive & acne prone skin.

Although located 3,269 km apart, the French colonial city of Hanoi and the port city of Osaka share many common traits. Boasting stupendous scenery, rich culture and diversity, both destinations are lively dynamic cities that are rapidly emerging as 2 of the latest hotspots of Asia.

Here we highlight the reasons why Hanoi and Osaka warrant a spot on your travel bucket list.

    Hanoi, Vietnam

Located on the western bank of the Red River in northern Vietnam, the high-octane capital city of Vietnam is a combination of old-world charm and modern development brought on by a recent surge in tourism.

The city best described as the cultural heart of Vietnam has much to offer visitors, from lovely parks and museums to street-side restaurants, tree-fringed boulevards and fine colonial architecture.

While in Hanoi, a visit to the historic Hoan Kiem District (the Old Quarter) is a must. Dive into the backstreets and weave through alleyways on foot to discover boutique stored, cafes and local shops for a truly authentic experience of the city.

Don't be alarmed by the commotion of blaring horns from scooters vying for right of way as this is quintessentially Hanoi.

Hanoi's understated charm also lies in its eclectic mix of foreign influences. Traces of the city's French colonial past are deeply etched in its culture from the architecture, language spoken, right down to its famous Vietnamese drip filter coffee which is a reinvention of the French press.

A city with a thousand year history, culture vultures will also be delighted by the many historical sights Hanoi has to offer such as the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Hoa Lo Prison and the Hanoi Imperial Citadel.

    Osaka, Japan

Despite being commonly overlooked in comparison to the popular neighbouring cities, the cosmopolitan city of Osaka is fast becoming a rising contender as a perennial favourite among repeat visitors who have tasted and seen what the city has to offer.

Home to tourist favourites such as Universal Studios Japan, Osaka Castle and Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, the bustling city of Osaka packs quite a punch when it comes to local attractions and world-class dining.

A culinary mecca, food lovers will be spoilt for choice with Osaka's unrivalled epicurean delights ranging from street side takoyaki and okonomiyaki to Michelin-starred establishments.

Take a stroll along Dotonbori - the neon-lit commercial street lined with an enormous selection of restaurants, street vendors and bars and savour some of the best cuisines Osaka has to offer.

From shopping arcades to flea markets, Osaka is also a shopaholic's haven. Some must-visit marketplaces include Shintennoji Temple market, Kuromon Ichiba market, Amemura and Shinsaibashi-suji - the 600m long shopping avenue located in the heart of the Minami district.

These are merely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the many attractions these 2 cities have to offer.
