Two days ago I went to Dessert Bar @ SohoKL (first time) to try their 50% off everything on menu promotion. Being a Dessert Bar it's practically desserted (well not for Tenji which is just next door only, fully booked until 15th). I can't blame them, Kenny Rogers had no one at all too when I went there for dinner last week. The staff was sleeping as well and my attempts to wake him up took 10mins. He only woke up upon me pushing him. It's like a dead upper floor here & hopefully Tenji brings some traffic that they cast away to these restaurants.

Jasmine & I are sharing our meals so we decided to order 3 items to try out. The waiters are polite & very accomodating. They answer our questions and even let us have more chocolate sauce on our ice cream. We tried the Monte Sandwich (chicken, beef, vegs, pineapple and house salad/potato salad). Please don't try their house salad, I took first bite and my facial expression changed. It's something unsual probably acquire taste?

Overall, the foods at Dessert Bar is OK. The portions are fair as they're cafe style. I'll probably go try their smoothies again & homemade ice-cream again. For 50 off, it's worth it to try out their menu now. Their concept is natural, fresh & healthy so don't expect it to be sugar-filled, ajinamoto yummy or anything that taste like foods from McDonald's!

I was at HSC and I bought a couple slices of cake home - lychee cheese and tiramisu. The former was not bad; pretty refreshing.
ReplyDeleteBut paying RM16 for two itty bitty pieces of cake is too much for me. I'd probably try something else the next time I'm anywhere else near a Dessert's Bar.
