  • Elianto's Organic Hydra Review

hydration is a must for our precious skin

Recently my fiance wanted me to do facial for him and I though I'd try using Elianto's Organic Hydra (hydration) range on him. While I was doing facial for him, I also tested the products on myself (facial while doing a facial haha). I must say I love the Tiffany blue colors on the packaging. It has Salicorne shadows on it. Salicorne is a plant rich in antioxidants with over 90 kinds of ocean minerals. Sounds tempting right to put on our faces? Check out my photos of the products and texture :)

I love opening new products and checking them out. It's like having new presents and experiencing something new all over again, I imagine there's music and confetti all around when I open my products/presents. I called this "Open Ceremony" a word that I have been using for many years. My mother used to love saying that when I try on new clothes she bought for me. "Have you open ceremony already?" she would say.

My first ceremonious act is to open the boxes carefully, trying not to damage the precious goods. Then I'll open and close whatever that can be flip, twist off, open. Finally I'll test the products on a bird's eye view to feel the texture, smell the scent, or see what miracle concoctions its made up? (I love to see natural/man made ingredients that's present in products, like say seeds in a kiwi mask? beads of concentrated cream in a pool of watery glaze).

So guess what I found when I "open ceremony" the Elianto's Organic Hydra range that I have?

    Water based products
I love water based products because in our tropical climate - humid with scorching sun, our skin tends to get dehydrated easily causing us to look tired, pale, dry. Also our skin starts to feel irritated, peel, or inflamed. As such water based hydration products can be our life saving angels.

The scent is a refreshing mix of marine life with clear blue skies. Ignore my imaginative description.

Well I'm not going into too detail on the scientific names of ingredients and all, I'll just point out 3 main ingredients that makes up of the Organic Hydra range and it's benefits:
    • Organic Rose WaterMaintains the skin's optimal hydration level to keep the skin supple, soft and smooth. Known for its antibacterial and antiseptic properties, rose water has been a precious ingredient for beauty and skin-healing treatments for centuries.
    • Organic Hydrosalinol (Salicorne) Provides extreme moisture, helps retain skin moisture, prevents moisture loss and restores the skin's natural moisture barrier. Organic Salicorne is a plant rich in antioxidants with over 90 kinds of ocean minerals.
    • Hydrolysed CollagenHelps fight the aging process, keeps the skin suppler and prevents formation of wrinkles and sagging skin. Hydrolysed Collagen leaves the skin with improved elasticity, tone and texture.

SO continue on to me doing facial for my fiance, he has oily skin with blocked pores. I tried to remember the steps of the facials done before on me. It was great that the range included cleanser, toner, moisturizer (moist gel), serum and a intensive mask for this facial session. I only needed to get my own scrub. Here's my sequence using the Organic Hydra range.

    Cleanse - Exfoliate - Extractions - Massage - Mask - Hydration

The Organic Hydra range is suitable for all skin types so it went pretty well for him. Having oily skin, water based products is more suitable for him. It's oil-free and won't make his face become oilier. The texture of the moist gel and serum although gel like, is watery upon application and absorbs fast. Then watery cooling sensation is what I love best.

    gel cleanser & toner

oil free & soap free to remove impurities & make up
    (without irritation!)

moist gel, intensive mask & serum

intensive mask also can be a sleeping mask

check out the textures: moist gel, serum & mask

    which one is more watery?

A great tip for to hydrate yourself on a hot day is to keep your gels/masks in the fridge for a while before applying. The cooling sensation coupled with the intense hydration is wonderful. I feel the absorption rate is too fast (or I'm having too dehydrated skin) I feel the moist gel does not last long and needs to be re-apply again after a few hours.

This is a easy to use, frills free hydration products from Elianto that's affordable (bonus point). Besides getting that much needed hydration, the collagen and rose water helps in soothing and giving your face that plump up action :)
