step 1 - cut your credit card in half

The pathway to shopping abstinence starts with cutting one or more credit cards that you don't need. Today I have finally made the ultimate move of cutting up my gold card after settling my outstanding debts with it. I am proud that I have finish paying off my debts in this card! (don't ask me about my other cards). Goodbye Gold Card, I shall not be needing you anymore. Totally a big big big mistake to become a shopping blogger! argh!!! Anyone cutting theirs too or have done the deed to? pls share so I don't feel lonely.

    5. i duno why..after some time using this card, no more discounts given to me already when i purchase tix wit it. Also.. i find the free tix reward program annoying. Sat must go redeem and from gsc cinema. Always not the right timing to get it! annoyed. At one point i went , the counter was CLOSED! i complaint to AEO via online, no response. That's it.. crappy card.

    10. Miu, B4 start to charge me the gov tax i decide cancel my 2 credit cards and a amex debit card so now still left 2 credit cards and a amex for emergency use

      ReplyDelete
    11. Wow u have AMEX? that one the credit limit is sky high. Smart move.. i didn't get to cancel my citibank before they charge me the tax. Since i pay for the tax already, I think i will keep Citibank card n terminate all the rest.

I hate the stupid rm50 gov tax!

      ReplyDelete
    12. ya .. miu i also hate it the gov tax but i saw newspaper gov will increase annual income in future and not easy to approve which person wan to apply card so better keep 1 card for emergency.
Then now i left a Maybank Amex credit card, a Maybank master and a HSBC visa card coz sometime sales promotion, online buy airticket, overseas travel emergency use and use the rewards points to waived the gov tax on my cards

I started to keep 1 at home now, only bring one along for emergency.

When nid to spend by cash, I'll feel the pain, so manage to cut down on spending.
