  • The Body Shop Drops of Youth Review

    1.29.2014

my 5 days challenge using Drops of Youth

Before you start reading please click play on my video first! There's where I actually give my feedback using The Body Shop's Nutriganics Drops of Youth. Now this isn't a serum or a moisturizer so don't get your hopes up wrong when you try the product. It's actually a youth enhancing concentrate which works to hand-in-hand with your skincare products say moisturizer or serums. Kinda like a pre-serum which has been introduce to the Malaysian beauty market where it helps to bring out the best of your skincare products when you use an activating product before hand.

watch my video review on Drops of Youth!

The Drops of Youth is exactly that. Dermatologically tested, certified organic, made with 98% minimum natural ingredients, free from parabens and silicone. The main ingredient in this baby is the criste-marine plant stem cells which uses the latest stem cell technology to enhance surface skin renewal (think micro dermabrasion). The benefits? Smoother, fresher and healthier appearance. Now this is a anti-aging product so recommended for age 25 years above.

this is the 30ml size for RM129

no kidding, here's a whole poster of info

so use it twice a day, morning & night

love the texture! dewy, clear liquid that's watery

    fast absorption no kidding

Now some beauty bloggers says it's not suitable for sensitive skin due to the skin renewal process it goes through. I on the other hand would like to share that I have sensitive skin and I don't simply put anything on my face just to review. Throughout my 5 days testing the product, I did not experience any irritation of redness, yes I do feel my dead skins after 3 days and scrub them off which explains why I have smoother, softer glowing skin afters.

    What I like:
The texture oh man, it's non-greasy or sticky! Does not leave any residue as well. Watery dew like, fast absorption is what I am looking for these day in our hot humid weather. When I use other skincare products on this, it just fits perfectly on top without adding more oily layers. The scent is fresh, kinda like cutting open a plant.

    What I don't like:
Well there is something I didn't like. I don't find the product alone is moisturizing enough because I have dry skin. I can't blame it because it's supposed to be used with other skincare products. Just a heads up to anyone thinking they will get moisturized skin after using this. This would be great for oily, combination skin.

The Body Shop Nutriganics Drops of Youth is available at The Body Shop stores for RM129 30ml. Get a sample to try out :)

Although they perform in making the skin experience better, not all scalp are eliminated completely. Most of them still hang on to stubbornly to the surfaces of the skin pores of your epidermis.
