  • THE FACE SHOP Yehwadam Nokyong Collagen Contour Lift Gold Capsule Review

    8.26.2018

the one pearl to rule them all

If you're hunting down for your next age-defying cream you may want to consider THE FACE SHOP's luxurious Nokyong Collagen Contour Lift Gold Capsule Cream. It is one of the three "pearls" found in THE FACE SHOP called the "miracle capsule creams". I'll list them here for you should you be interested to know what they are. The cool thing about these capsule creams is that they're actually skincare goodies encapsulated in a pearl. So when you open a tub up, you'll see these beautiful shining, mesmerising pearls trying to hypnotise you.

    • White Ginseng Collagen Pearl Capsule Cream
Reveal your skin’s inner glow and improve the appearance of dark spots.

    • Snow Lotus Brightening Pearl Capsule Cream
Achieve an instant brightening effect with this hydrating cream.

    • Nokyong Collagen Contour Lift Gold Capsule Cream
Ultra-luxurious capsule cream addresses the 8 main aging lines.

If I didn't tell you it's a skincare product, you'll probably think it's food. I shared this video on my IG and many told me they thought it's the glutinous rice balls found in "Tong Sui" a Cantonese "sugar water" dessert. Others thought it was bubble pearls. Just look at that lovely pearl all wrapped in a sea of goey essence.

So this ultra-luxurious (delicious) looking pearls are actually pearls with concentrated "Nokyong" Collagen that helps to diminish wrinkles (lines) specifically the 8 main aging lines -  partial lines on your forehead, between the eyes, eye area (crow's feet), under eyes , laugh lines and lines around the lips and neck and facial contour lines (outer lines of the face from cheek to jaw).

The result? To tighten and lift for a firmer, youthful looking skin.

Below is an example of how much Botox a women would need to fight the lines of aging. It gives an simple overview of the facial lines that's targeted.

P.S: Should we call these botox pearls? lol without the injection.

The main star ingredient in the pearl is Nok Yong deer antler collagen which is said to be very good to promote beautiful healthy skin with its restorative power. I found another premium brand that uses the same ingredient but I can't comment on getting more information about this. Other than Nok Yong collagen, there's also 24K gold silks and pearl being used. One things for sure is, there are a good amount of amino acids, and anti-aging ingredients overall that makes this a good effective skin restoring cream.

    Ingredients:
Pure water, glycerin, dipropylene glycol, denatured alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, niacinamide, and antler extract (1000mg), propanediol, panthenol, phage, lipid and polybutylene glycol 8/5/3 glycerin 1,2-Hexanediol ∙ Phage / Phage-17/6 Copolymer ∙ Peony root extract ∙ Betaine ∙ Silk extract ∙ Phage-40 Hydrogenated castor oil ∙ Phage-11 Methylether dimethicone ∙ Nutmeg extract Hydroxyethyl acrylate / sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer, carbomer, sodium hyaluronate, glyceryl acrylate / acrylic acid copolymer, beta-glucan, hydrolized collagen (250 ㎍) ∙ Dimethicone, Hydrogenated Lecithin ∙ Ethylhexyl Glycerin ∙ Tromethamine ∙ Adenosine ∙ Phenoxyethanol ∙ Titanium Dioxide ∙ Ma Car ∙ red iron oxide ∙ trisodium the dithiol this ∙ gold (20㎍) ∙ perfume

    My Review:

So far this is probably the second "pearl" product I have owned and it does not disappoint. Though I must say this is definitely more suited to night care and renewal as it's rich and using it during your beauty sleep would be more effective. The packaging is not only luxurious looking but it gives a feeling of royalty as well (reminds me of the Korean  Royal Imperial Family Palace K-Dramas). Given as a gift, it would surely wow the receiver. The gold cap, somewhat reminds me of a gold gong. However, the body of the product is made of plastic and comes with a plastic spatula.

the anti-aging beauty caviar (warning do not eat)

the product has a seal lid, so it doesn't spill

the pearls are the first things you'll fall in love with

it's made of Nokyong collagen, 24K gold silk & pearl

luxurious gold pearls, like beauty caviars for the rich

cocoon in a sea of essences

While it's an anti-aging cream, don't let it fool you into thinking you need another moisturiser on top.  After double-cleansing your face, tone and then break a pearl or two to be applied all over your face (targeting the wrinkle zones). You can use this around your eyes like an eye-cream but be gentle and do not over apply as I don't know it would be too much for the delicate eye skin. It feels a bit sticky or thick upon application but this feeling will sink in and your skin will feel glowing with the rich fatty acids from the cream.

Overnight it restores and hydrates your skin so you look like a glowing queen the next day. For wrinkle / line, this improves overtime with use. I was advised to use this for at least min. two weeks to a month to see improvements.

The texture is not really cream per se, I would say it's more of a translucent gold-ish gel (after mix).  There's a floral scent to it which I don't have any complains because it's quite calming for sleeping. Others might find this a bit too much.

For the price of RM257++ it sums up to your average anti-aging cream.  I didn't count how many pearls there is in a 50g tub but on average, a tub like this would last you 3 months.

    How To Use:
The instructions says to scoop 2 - 3 pearls using the spatula provided and crushed it on finger tips, then slowly massaged onto the face including the neck area. If you're only spot correcting, then one pearl would be enough otherwise, be generous to your skin.

step by step guide on how to use

so satisfying, you won't know what hit you

you can see that your skin is glowing instantly

P.S: I've seen how others demonstrated the crushing of the Snow Lotus Brightening cream, where the pearl becomes like a powdery mix with the essence but for this Nokyong Collagen cream, when you crushed it, it's not the same. It's a bit slippery so crush with caution else your pearl ball will slip right off your hand. The tip is to put the pearl in the palm of your hand, then cup it and crush it with the spatula or your finger. Then mix it up.

When you crush it, it breaks apart and you need to mix it up with the essence to create a silky gold cream (more like a velvety rich gel).

    hurry! promotion ending 31/8/18
