Thanks to NARS Cosmetic Malaysia, I had a chance to witness the NARS X Sarah Moon Holiday Collection a couple of weeks ago at Menara Ilham, Kuala Lumpur with my partner. I would have never imagined that the barren halls of this building, would be transformed into a fashion event by them. The moment I step into this place, I was transported to a high fashion conclave.

The walls were gray with high ceilings, space was wide and there was a live art contraption, a scaffolding built with long light fixtures. It was brightly lit and many were captivated by its presence. Amongst the champagnes, chat, and canapes, a tower high scaffolding features a projected display of NARS X Sarah Moon's video on repeat.

Considering Menara Ilham was a barren beauty, NARS has turned this place into a captivating conclave of fashion, beauty, and art. They brought in electricals, built walls, lights, and even had a "snow" maker hidden right at the top of the high scaffolding (the video tower). This snow maker was actually a bubble maker.

People from the fashion and beauty industry flocked here tonight. I could see models like Amber Chia, beauty queens, fashion designers, hair stylists, makeup artists and the media along with influencers chatting away. Mark O'Dea, British-born singer, 8TV Quickie Presenter, & YouTuber was the emcee of the night. A quick opening with his charming accent, he then sang a Christmas song accompanied by falling snow from the top. Amazing night.

At the end of the party, when the lights went off and the music came blasting on, the contraception lighted up with a pattern of its own attracting guests to strike a pose. It felt like I was in the set of ANTM.

Who knew a simple fuss-free event, a NARS signature actually would be both evoking and provoking to the senses this year end.
