Hi, I’m Tammy Lim, a Malaysian blogger turned content creator and author of this book!

Jelly’s Ocean Adventure was inspired by my mom’s handmade crochet creations (Kedai Mom) and all her lovable characters from the sea, land, and heart. As an eco-conscious creator, I wanted to craft a story that inspires kindness not only toward others but also toward the earth we share.

When I first dreamed up Jelly’s Ocean Adventure, I wanted more than just a story for bedtime. I wanted a world where children and parents could dive into laughter, exploration, and discovery together. As Jelly floats through the ocean, she meets new friends, plays, learns, and most importantly, helps children grow empathy, curiosity, and respect for all sea life.

This book is specially designed to be interactive and playful, so every reading becomes an adventure, not just another bedtime routine.

In this beautifully illustrated story, Jelly meets new ocean friends — Tiny the Prawn, Rainbow the Octopus, Funny the Clownfish, and a group of playful penguins! Together, they explore magical ocean worlds filled with color, laughter, and wonder.

This is a square hardcover book 8.5" x 8.5", 32-page, with full-color illustrations (including covers). Each page is written with simple, rhythmic words designed for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, perfect for early language development and interactive storytime. It’s short enough to hold a little one’s attention, yet rich in emotion and imagination to make every reading special. 🌊💖

@AbsoluteYana is a Malaysian color-blind illustrator with a heart full of creativity and imagination. Known for her distinctive Nanabie-style art, she brings her illustrations to life with vibrant colors and magical touches that spark joy.

Since childhood, Yana has loved crafting, dancing, and drawing. Creating has always been her happy place. Today, she shares her world through digital art that celebrates curiosity, connection, and creativity.

Her character Nanabie mirrors her journey. curious, gentle, and always learning. Through her art, Yana hopes to inspire children (and grown-ups too!) to see the beauty in every little wonder.

2025 has been a challenging year for me, and this book represents more than just a dream; it’s a journey of hope, family, and perseverance. I chose to self-publish so I could fully own the process and support my family through difficult times. Every page, every illustration, and every decision has been made with heart. With your support, we can make the first print run a reality!

Risks and challenges

Jelly’s Ocean Adventure is already fully ready. The biggest challenge is simply reaching our funding goal, without enough support, the book won’t make its way into the hands of little readers. Kickstarter only charges supporters once the funding goal is met, which means your pledge truly helps make Jelly’s Ocean Adventure come to life!
