Madam Lee Nyonya Private Dining, Palm Garden Hotel Putrajaya
After checking out from our stay at Palm Garden Hotel Putrajaya, we returned to the property for lunch at Madam Lee Nyonya Private Dining. While the restaurant is located within the hotel, it is very much a standalone dining destination and does not require an overnight stay to enjoy. Walking distance to the car park, or if you're a hotel guest then hop on a buggy from the lobby that would take you up to the steps of the restaurant.
Set beside the swimming pool, Madam Lee offers a relaxed resort atmosphere paired with comforting Peranakan cuisine. It is a quiet, welcoming space that works well for both hotel guests and visitors coming in specifically for a meal.

Madam Lee is disability friendly, with assisted access via a chair lift, wheelchair friendly lift, and clear step free pathways to the dining area. What stood out was how help was offered naturally and respectfully, without me needing to ask. These thoughtful access features make it a practical dining option not just for PRM guests, but also for families with elderly parents or wheelchair users, adding real value to the overall experience.
welcome to a Crazy Rich Asian experience
Guests are invited to try the Nyonya dress play experience, complete with a small photobooth setup. Traditional Nyonya outfits are available for guests who wish to dress up and take photos. It is optional, but a fun cultural touch that adds to the overall experience, especially if you enjoy capturing moments beyond just food shots.a beautiful (fun) start to our Nyona dining experience
We started with the Pie Tee, served in a do it yourself style. This classic Nyonya snack, usually presented as ready filled crunchy top hats, is reimagined here with toppings served separately so diners can customise each bite.
It works well as an ice breaker at the table and gently whets the appetite. The crispy pie tee shells are paired with a selection of fillings including jicama, carrots, egg, mushrooms and prawns, allowing you to balance texture and flavour to your liking.
highly recommend to try the Nyonya Ulam Set RM35nett
(normally just the Nyonya Ulam is RM28!)
One of the best value items on the menu is the Nyonya Ulam Set, priced at RM35 nett per set. Each set includes Nyonya nasi ulam, a choice of main protein, and a traditional iced drink.

Select your Nyona Nasi Ulam with :
- Inchi Kabin Fried Chicken
- Tamarind Prawn
- Steamed seabass with tamarind sauce
- Beef short rib rendang
Drink choices :
Sirap Bandung Ice or Sirap Limau Ice
I chose the Nyonya nasi ulam with steamed seabass in tamarind sauce. The fish was tender and clean tasting, paired with a tangy tamarind sauce that complemented the herb infused rice well. The dish felt balanced and light, making it suitable even for a midday meal.
Nyona nasi ulam with beef short rib rendang
Gareth opted for the beef short rib rendang, one of the more popular choices here. The beef was soft and well seasoned, with spices that were rich without being overpowering. It paired nicely with the nasi ulam and was satisfying without feeling heavy.
Peranakan Beef Rendang RM48
comes highly recommended
We ordered both drinks to try. The Sirap Bandung Ice was creamy and sweet, while the Sirap Limau Ice was refreshing and helped balance the richer dishes. If you are ordering rendang, the limau is a good pairing.
On the manager’s recommendation, we also ordered the best selling beef rendang as a separate dish. This is worth ordering even if you already have a main. The beef is slow simmered in rendang paste, grated coconut, belacan and spices. The meat was tender, the sauce rich and flavourful, and the spices well balanced. It is clearly a crowd favourite and works well for sharing.

After lunch, we stopped by the Baba Bar, which sits as a relaxed extension of Madam Lee. It offers a comfortable space to unwind without the bustle of a typical hotel lounge, making it a nice spot to linger before heading off.
Madam Lee Nyonya Private Dining offers a solid Peranakan dining experience within Palm Garden Hotel Putrajaya. The pricing is reasonable, the menu approachable, and the flavours familiar without feeling diluted.

It works well for hotel guests, but it is also worth visiting on its own even after check out or as a lunch destination. Between the Nyonya Ulam Set, the DIY pie tee starter, and the recommended beef rendang, there are enough highlights here to justify a dedicated visit.
