  • Bad Experience at I Style Beaute Santuary (Eyelash Extension)

    Sharing my review on I Style Beaute Santuary, SS2 PJ as I am not happy paying full price for "eyelash extensions" done recently. I found this salon from Groupon, as I believe we should all try out a merchant's services before paying a full good price only to regret later on. In Malaysia, one has to be very wary of all the unscrupulous, unprofessional and half past six services given to consumers. As such I am sharing my latest encounter with such merchants in the Klang Valley to avoid burning your hard earned money away.

    P.S: I don't normally like to bash people, but this is one experience I can't sweep under my carpet.

    My first visit was more than 2 weeks ago, application went smoothly. It didn't stung as much and I was surprised on how neat the glue application is. However my eyelashes were too natural. I bought the Korean 4D Eyelash Extension Groupon but it's just a fancy name. This place uses the cluster eyelashes where customers can choose sizes from small to medium, large and so on. However on the same day, I notice the lashes were already coming off despite the neat work. Perhaps her glue wasn't the industrial strength kind like Posh! Nail Spa which lasted me a month.

    Anyway after 2 weeks, I went back for my touch up which expires. That's alright, so I decided to remove all my lashes as it was too natural for my liking and went for the slightly more dramatic. I have informed her I would need to attend a gala dinner tomorrow night. She proposed for me to sign up a package but because I knew her lashes didn't quite stand the test of time, I refused to sign up. The removal of my 1st eyelash extensions was painful, I had to bear it wondering if she's deaf or blind as my face could show my pain and my "ouches" weren't on silent mode.

    Anyway my predictions were true, my 2nd eyelash extension was weak upon returning home as I examine my eyes in the mirror. I texted her if I could come tomorrow for touch up and she said okay. The next day, 1 cluster fell off. When I got to the salon, I told her which lashes needed to be fix and which has fallen off. She was busy attending to another customer but she confidently said she has done it all. I was still sceptical but under the dimmed room I could not examine my eyes properly and gave her the benefit of the doubt.

    My eyelashes started coming off during the gala dinner, much to my surprise. I was angry as I paid a good RM98 for my second eyelash extension and it's barely 2 days. Eyelash extensions normally can last from a week to 2 weeks under good care. I have been wearing eyelash extensions since October, 2014 so I'm no fool when it comes to eyelash extensions.

    I texted the beautician to informed her of my disappointment and what happened. I said I won't be coming back for touch up (I am not going to take a 3rd taxi trip to SS2 to have her fix her work again). Her reply was disappointing and unprofessional. It just shows, small parlours who charges hefty price for eyelash extensions cannot measure up to real quality work.

    Her reply was "I already exchange a new lash for you"

    Here I am, a customer informing her that her eyelashes are coming off on the very day I got them and no apology was given. In fact I applaud her lack of customer service since she has the nerve to negate whatever happen by saying she change a new lash for me. What I am complaining about is her eyelash work as it's falling off after a few hours of application. I didn't ask for a refund.

    Don't waste your time or money going to this "salon". While her glue work may be tidy due to her "years experience", the lashes doesn't last long and would fall off easily. I paid for eyelash extensions instead of temporary false eyelashes because I want them to last longer than a week at least without falling off (under proper eye care). I might just file a consumer complain on this salon to get my refund back. Let's see if I get lazy or soft hearted.

      I've been there before. I'll have to admit that their service is pretty good from the start. I can choose whichever style that I like and it will stays for about 1 month ( if taking good care of it).

      This new place is consider better than the previous place. Previously the place is just above the CHAN MENG KEE RESTAURANT @ SS2. Is fucking dodgy you know ? Reason I gives her a chance is the service is good.

      But nowadays, after she moves to this place, and she liaise with a lot of groupbuy company, the quality & the service is super super bad.

      I got buy their package, but the problem is I cannot make any reservation during weekend.
      Unless I have to make appointment few months ahead. The reason that she gives me is, people buy from vouchers and normally they will come on the weekend. I totally understand on this, but still don't you think you as a seller also need to take care of your old customer as well ?

      Even sometimes, I make appointment during weekday. She will last min told me that she need to go back to her hometown. Thus, have to cancel the appointment. And the glu that she is using now doesn't last at all. When I reach home, it drops off a bit. I don't even bother to go back to touch up.

      So yeah, I totally can feel you Tammy. Finally I've found someone that have the similar experience like me =)

    9. Think twice if u r going to sign any package with this girls. She is treating her customer as a fool. I would like to said its worth 2 try if there any promotion, but not to sign any package. Becos start from 2-3 times, the service will become worst n worst. French facial (simple facial) can finish within 1 hour. The extraction process only take less than 5 minutes, i know my skin is not as good as less acne to extract. I went to other shop the extraction can take at least 30 minutes.
      The worst thing is she have press but nothing is come out (u know , can fell something if acne really come out)and her hand already move to other side, she pretend she have done the work.


      If you going to sign the package with her, should write down black n white. What is promising may be gone later.....l

    12. Hi, ladies. I have read what have posted here.. I am doing eyelash extension for customers as well (only eyelash extension ) & I decided to rent d place where this beautician has left. So is totally new eyelash bar. I dont have any package to offer n the price is cheaper. Will you ladies willing to try if i really rent the place?
