I spent a few days back at taobao.com deciding what to buy again. I think I'm addicted now to taobao! There is just so many awesome things I can buy, either to start a business, be a party planner, diy crafts or plan my wedding with it. Though I am skeptical buying certain things like a wedding gown (because I don't know if I can fit it? or the quality of the material) I still can't help admiring the beautiful wedding gowns on taobao. Here's some of my favorite that I picked out!

I just solved another taobao mystery being non-Chinese reading I forgotten my Alipay Payment password and got myself locked out from entering anymore password. I waited for the sms retrieval code (forgotten password step) but it took forever to come so I decided to go for e-mail password retrieval instead. All I needed to do was snap a photograph of my passport details and upload it on the link given via email (when you opt for non-sms password retrieval). Then Alipay will verify it and send you an e-mail to reset your password. Phew finally got that sorted so I manage to pay for my order which consists of 606 items! Believe it haha.
note: Alipay is like a prepaid service for Singaporeans/foreigners using taobao but for Malaysians don't have to worry about making payment anymore because taobao now has Malaysian banks on board during checkout!

The awesome thing about taobao.com now for Malaysians:
- forwarding agents available directly during checkout under shipping address section, click add a international forwarding service. Picked one from 4 listed.
- we can pay by credit card or local banking gateway like Maybank2u
- use google chrome browser so it auto-translate the site to English (still not too bad) and have google translate website available just to translate any Chinese words you don't understand.

Update: I have bad experience with Taobao. Up till todate my order is not here entirely and I am trying to get it to be resolved by the parties involved. ReplyDeleteyeah T___T China tu.. that's why. The biggest wholesaler @ goods come from there. I wish i can read Chinese too but I'm learning as a banana (a term Chinese ppl call Chinese who don't know Chinese but English a.k.a yellow outside white inside).

ReplyDeleteI Banana love shopping on Taobao too but skeptical about handling delivery issues. I use 65daigou as agent. Though I'm probably paying a little more, I'm happy with how they handle issues/inquiry. Through them, I managed to ship back (without tax) noodle maker, sports camera, a few other electronics and plenty of household and clothes stuff

dear, just want to sharing, i been buy taobao item 3 times, but the order process quite bother me, lastly i met with askmebuy.com (http://askmebuy.com/zh/join/dfC) ，firstly i quite refuse to use them, cos i want save money for service charges, but my friend stronly recommend it, so i just try with started little small things, after submit order, they are processing my order within not longer than 7hour, the status just show waiting seller sent to their warehouse, [suprise!!] After reached warehouse, they provide us "checking item" and "repack service", but this is just options, if you just want some order need checking also can, not necessary all item in 1 shipment you must check all (impressive)...this 2 things i quite appreciated, even the service charges not higher than what i expected...hehe
