  • The Rainy Day Coffee, Lepaq Lepaq

    11.13.2016

have you drank the rainy day coffee?

Last weekend, I brought the girls to have lunch at Lepaq Lepaq cafe in the city. It's situated at Bukit Ceylon, near Changkat. It's another hipster cafe built on industrial concept. Walls are grey - black, ceiling high windows, minimalist. I like how they style the bottom of the cafe but not the top floor. The bottom floor has the dessert and bread selection to choose from while the top floor is where customers are mostly seated due to the ample amount of space available. However, there's not much decor concept above, it's just lined with rows and rows of tables and chairs. Almost prison like, but that's what the cafe concepts are these days.

I would call this cloud coffee for short

life is just like this cup of coffee, waiting to be sweetened

Anyway we were here only for one thing - the rainy day coffee which is a cleverly conceptualised cloud of candy floss perched on top of the black coffee (kopi-o). Priced at RM12, the coffee taste just like any other kopi-o out there but the Instagram worthy candy floss gives out a dreamlike touch to the whole coffee scene.

You'd wonder how long it takes for the candy floss to melt its way into the coffee. It doesn't take long, the cloud will soon change it's form, becoming heavier on the bottom as it starts melting from the heat of the coffee. Hence the name, rainy day coffee.

Strings of sugar makes it way down to your coffee, if you're unlucky it would be all around your cup. Netizens complained of it's messiness, but I was fortunate to have mine form a line of sugar strings down into the right place.

It gets too sweet after a while so I finish up my coffee and savour the candy floss (what's left of it).

P.S: If you're wondering how's the food like, we had chicken chop and it wasn't great for the price we paid. Won't have food here anymore.

    1. Watches similar in style or design to these "archetype choices" will also rolex replica likely serve you well. Before we get to the watches, I want to talk a bit about useful features and breitling replica complications that should appeal to travelers. No single watch has everything, but many rolex replica uk watches combine a lot of fake omega important elements that you (within the subjective reality of your needs) should be looking for. The most important fake omega thing to ask yourself is what the most demanding situation will be that you'd like to wear your rolex replica sale watch during. Maybe the flight and airport journey is the most demanding activity your travel watch will be subjected to, or perhaps, you plan on going hiking, diving, or just want to exercise with your watch.

    3. I come to this place every now and then. The Seattle venues are really nice, the crowd is full of regulars, and the food and drink specials are pretty good! The staff is great and really gets to know your name. Totally worth your time on any night for good food and drink.
