An email from Marriot Bonvoy congratulated me on reaching the silver tier status as a Marriot Bonvoy member. This was happy news as I slowly hopped my way to Gold status (need to stay 25 nights). The perks are much better once you reach Gold, and I won't be reaching Platinum where members get to upgrade to suite rooms and have free breakfast.

At Silver, the only perk I get now is late check-out. It was pretty easy to reach, I looked out for the bonus nights promotion and utilized my Club Marriot vacation vouchers. BUT AT GOLD level, there's where the room upgrades come in.
Deal Queen says this is the best way to have a staycation in Malaysia. Times are tough and you gotta be loyal because that's where the savings and reward comes in.
