L'Occitane X Tammy Lim
Last year, L'Occitane Malaysia threw me a party as part of their Big Little Things campaign to spread awareness of being a green eco-warrior. Big Little Things is their recycling campaign where you can bring any beauty product to their stores for recycling. Selected recyclables would be entitled to points in which if you collect enough, you can redeem cute minis from L'Occitane! I have been an avid BLT fan since the launch and from what I hear, Malaysia was the first to come up with this program and now it is adopted by other countries.
thx everyone for being an eco-warrior today!
The party was held at L’Occitane Malaysia's first green store at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. This store is part of its sustainable, plastic-free future where the first-ever Refill Fountain and eco-friendly Mural Wall can be found. This made the party more meaningful as we got to take selfies of the beautiful mural wall with plastic flowers. Everyone also took back an eco-bottle and learned how to use the refill fountain.

thank you L'Occitane team for preparing this meaningful party for me!
The party started with a demonstration on how to prepare beauty empties to be recycled. Yes! you hear me, you can't just dump empties for recycling. Being green means that you and every little step you take makes a difference. Recycling isn't for the lazy, you must first clean them and dry them before sending them to the recycle center and/or bins. You also need different ways to clean empties, for instance, you use alcohol to clean oils (face oils, etc). I also shared how to clean tube products and candles.

Here comes the fun part! After my demo, the L'Occitane team took over to share about the Big Little Things program and how we can all be eco-warriors. Then they taught everyone how to upcycle by making decorative flowers using plastics. It was so cool seeing everyone making their flowers or decorative pieces creatively! 😍

what beautiful creations they made!
I had loads of fun meeting my followers and fellow supporters that day. I even bought a cute green top to wear over my yellow top so I could be the main character hehe. Thank you L'Occitane for collaborating with me to spread sustainable awareness to everyone. Wish I could do grounding work like planting into the glass pots instead as that's always my dream with L'Occitane.
