  • Benefit Cosmetic Advent Calendar

    11.28.2013

the limited edition advent calendar RM260
    (sold out on benefitcosmetics.com)

containing 24 surprises to pop out each day
    (from Dec 1st - Dec 24th)

I have an extra Benefit Cosmetic Advent Calendar that I bought for a friend but she has gotten hers through another friend! So I'm looking for someone who wants this because it's probably sold out by now? There's only 60 pieces available in Malaysia for sale while Benefit Cosmetics online has sold out on 1st day. I only have one, so if anyone wants it, it's first pay first get. Can collect from me at 1Utama or from TTDI (I stay in TTDI). E-mail me if interested, same price not negotiable. Just want my money back. SOLD! Sorry girls!

I'm also selling my Samsung Galaxy Camera

On a side note I'm also selling my camera which I bought end of March this year (warranty 1 year) hardly used because I own a Canon 550D on the side and only use this baby for macro product shots of my product reviews. I love the 21 times zoom on it too. Bought RM1899.00, now for sale at RM1,000 only. Comes with extra battery (it don't come with memory card but its built in memory can store pictures). Contact me if interested, it's hardly use so the condition is good. SOLD!

    Levi's Warehouse Sale 2013

Levi's warehouse sale starts today until this Sunday 1/12/13. From 10am - 7pm at Wisma Bakti, a popular warehouse sale venue just behind the jogging park in TTDI.

This is the Wisma Bakti building, the guards don't let the public park inside for this sale. Could be hindering their regular car park space that's why. You can park outside along the road but when there's crowd it's a long way from the building.

It's a good thing Levi's decided to be clear on the pricing and stocks at the sale. You can easily spot what u need from the board right before you go in. Bags will be clamped with a plastic strap or put into plastic bags tied up.

Most jeans are priced at RM129 with sizes maxed at 42 for men. For ladies it's 32 with a choice of colors and floral (limited). For blue jeans there's a variety to choose but depending on size. I spotted Demi curve, skinny, slim fit & taper jeans. Obviously I bought men jeans which I am not ashamed of admiting because Levi's Malaysia tend to think women are only acceptable here for certain sizes. This size discrimation was clear to my face during the Levi's Revel Media launch when I attended as a blogger (I'm not happy so I will not blog about that launch). It's such a embarrassment to be treated this way because you're not of certain size or "look" for them. Where's the room for real women? You think everyone women out there looks like a stick and has socially proportioned face dimensions & fabulous hair? Already the world has enough of these girls on prints. Your Levi's Revel Malaysian ad boast of successful or inspiring women of all sizes and colors but I guess that's only on ad right?

Crowd is not too bad in the morning on first day. There's about 6 fitting rooms available with a long waiting line which will take 15-30mins for your turn. A man is guarding this area making sure it's all under control. Cashiers I could spot 4? Accepting credit cards and cash. Bonus, if you spend RM500 today, you get a instant RM50 discount off.

Awesome, I already bought my Christmas and Chinese New Year jeans :) each at RM129 (after the RM50 discount, it comes to RM114 each). Normally retailed to over RM300, you can save now at this sale with a decent pair of jeans.

My Christmas Picks from Lazada Malaysia

    11.21.2013

help me decide what I should buy!

I received a Lazada Malaysia gift card for Christmas and I'm finding myself surfing away window shopping on lazada.com.my looking for gifts for maybe myself but ultimately I think there's a group of special girls that I would love to gift to. I've heard nasty things about Lazada Malaysia being really bad at delivering the orders purchased but guess what, so far my one experience buying from them ended up really well, in fact great.

What did I purchase? Well my Samsung Galaxy Camera of course. It wasn't sponsored by Samsung but I receive a unit to review and fell in love with the camera, particularly the 21 times zoom, the macro shot and the clear video capturing function. The camera was on for a really good deal at that point of time. I did my research well and lazada.com.my was the only site that gave the best rate for that camera, couple with a Mastercard Monday I got an extra 10% off. That's not only the best part of my story, it was also on flash delivery and I got my camera after 2 days of purchasing it online. Just in time for my birthday :)

what I love about e-shops? discounts!

So I'm back at Lazada and I am wondering what should I buy with my gift card? Here's my top 5 picks, anyone has any suggestion which one I should buy? I'm just going to think about it until this weekend and put in an order.

    Shopping on eBay Malaysia

    11.20.2013

finally my parcel from Hong Kong is here!

I love carrying backpacks or school bags around as my "hand bags". I find that safer than carrying a handbag or giving that image that I look like I have got money on me. Well ever since I got injured in a snatch thief incident at Publika my perception of being out in the open has changed the way I dressed. I would prefer to have bags that I could shoulder and run with or bags that would not be easily targeted by these unscrupulous people.

the bag that I was looking for yay

it's buckle bag type but underneath is magnet
(buckle is for show, so it's convenient yet maintaing the look I want)

I've been looking for this type of bag for some time
(now I found it on eBay Malaysia)

I also would prefer to dressed in jeans or tops with flats or shoes. This makes escaping easier too. Unless I am being accompanied by my fiance or a close friend driving to a location, I would dressed more at eased.

bought this powerbank few months ago from eBay sales

With my loyal backpack (aged 3 years old) the zip was giving way and it was also degrading. I hop on to eBay at www.ebay.com to see if I could find a replacement. I wouldn't mind shopping online, credit card safety issues has since improved from 5 years ago. Few months ago I bought a 30,000 mAh power bank from eBay (this is where I got it from http://bit.ly/19mbaD7and only needed to sit back and relax while my order is processed and shipped to me. It only took 5 days and it comes with a 3 months warranty.

    pic of ebay.com

While shopping online such as sites like eBay has improved with payment gateway and facilities that is not only convenient, but also safe thanks to eBay's Standard Purchase Protection Programme. I find eBay has also improved in making my shopping experience a better one. It's now fun to shop on eBay compared to 5 years ago where deals were boring to look at and hard to find. Now there's a new system that allows searches to match local and international products as well as matching your shopping interest.

pic of the eBay store for product

Yes back to my search of the bag! While I was looking through eBay's Best Sellers for Her segment http://bit.ly/1bBXMMf I came across this minimalist, old school style knapsack (also refers to as backpack, rucksack or book bag). It's a unisex buckle flap closure canvas school bag for the price of RM74.95! Just what I wanted.

Here's what the seller says about their product:

    Description:
This canvas backpack is leisure sportive fashion designed with large capacity. Enough space to store small books, cellphone, keys, wallet, ipad and laptop... Adjustable dual straps for even balance, padded shoulder straps for maximum comfort. It is very relaxing for your travelling, camping, hiking..

    Item Specifications

    Style: Backpack
    Material: Canvas
    Interior: Main compartment
Best Match: Compliments any style dress and shoes in matching color.

review all the details you need about the seller

the confirmation of order, always check it's the right order!
(sometimes I'm so confident in checking out,
    I bought wrong item lol)

I use PayPal for online shopping

yeah now to check my email for my receipt

My product didn't come in 5 days as per how I received my power bank from eBay. It came after 45days because I bought my bag from an international seller from Hong Kong and the shipping was free! (Economy Shipping Postage). I paid using PayPal because they have the buyer's protection from eBay http://pages.ebay.com.my/help/tp/esppp-process.html.

like my bag? leave a comment!

Everything I needed to know about buying the product, estimated delivery time, how much I would pay (eBay system automatically converts the currency according to where you are!) is available at every deal page. What I love most is, there's a return policy stated as well should the product has any issues.

To find out more about eBay visit www.ebay.com and the eBay Standard Purchase Protection Programme here. Have a safe and happy shopping trip on eBay!

it's Christmas Shopping Time at Hermo.com.my!

Since I got to know Hermo.com.my I have been practically stalking their website everyday looking at the cute beauty products they have on promotion. I really like their layout and how much effort they put into creating the deals. If you notice, it's filled with information of the product on sale along with how to use instruction, reviews, videos if any and big images of the product. That takes some loading time but I hate looking at tiny pictures when I'm shopping online. I'm going to shop for some super value Christmas gift set for Christmas so I can stand to win prizes from their Christmas promotion.

super sad that this is sold out

I am really bummed out that I didn't get to buy the My Beauty Diary Sweet Teatime Mini Set for RM19.90 (instead of RM39.90) it's 50% off. I was taking my time looking at it and thinking it will still be there but by the time I decide, it's all SOLD OUT?! WTH ARGH hate myself. I could have bought 50pcs for Christmas gifts and my friends would be so happy receiving a set of cute goodies with 4pcs of products inside. Going to stalk Hermo.com.my until it comes back again! Super regret argh.

Stalk http://www.hermo.my. A whole new concept cosmetics and skin care product group buying website. 100% original and 14 days free return without reasons. Hot deals everyday.

Hamleys 1Utama Opening 30th Nov with Goodies!

Hamley's is opening in 1Utama this 30th Nov

Everyone is talking about the next big thing to happen in the Klang Valley, particularly at 1Utama, my second home (it's practically next door to me). I wish I was a kid again because this next big thing is a toy shop all the way from the U.K! It's quite a big news because everyone is talking about it and going wow and woah! I didn't know about Hamleys until I joined the media meet up session with Kim Manaf the managing director of GRV Toy Store at Delicious 1Utama last Wednesday.

I can't wait to see Hamleys open in 1Utama on 30th Nov, 2013. Kim Manaf was telling us all about this dream to have families and children coming into a toy store and seeing it come to life. The closes thing I could imagine what he was describing was Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. Of course who can forget Home Alone's magical toy store experience too? See trains go choo choo, giant bears greeting you, play with the race track, take picture with the London Bus! Christmas is going to be amazing at 1Utama in Hamleys!

The best part? The first 500 shoppers will receive an Angry Bird card games worth RM20.90 on the opening day. There will be Ben 10 Bloxx character walkabout and free popcorn sampling. Buy a Transformer Beast Hunter Deluxe (RM59.90) and get a free Best Hunter Legion (RM24.90). Purchase a Playskool Step Start Walk & Ride (RM149.90) and receive a free Spiderman Vehicle (RM59.90).

Kim Manaf the managing director of GRV Toy Store

my expectation is set to this high now haha

    Hamleys 1Utama opening soon!
this London Bus cost more than a car!

The Making of Butterfly High Tea

    11.17.2013

a butterfly high tea in the making
    (poster is 90% siap)

Nowadays my hobby is dreaming about parties for people to join. Sometimes it's annoying because before I can finish one party idea, I think of another one. Though I don't know why I have this craving (shall call it craving, because it's like what pregnant women wants and can't get off their mind, but I'm not pregnant okay) to throw parties. Guess it comes in handy for my community of bloggers that I started this year.

It was sad that I have to announce to the community that December we don't have projects due to lack of planning. When I say planning it means we didn't have time or the energy to go ask around for someone to sponsor us a f&b venue for Christmas celebration. Being a picky person, it cannot be just any venue as well. I have a vision to follow and since I don't have the time to look for one, we have to say goodbye to a Christmas dinner.

It's obvious that I don't know anyone in the F&B industry but I know people in the beauty industry (hahaha). I'm also pretty tired of having events and projects that keeps coming. The community is a hobby that I started and it's growing bigger by the day. I am not sure if I can keep up.

The next thing in my mind map (yeah everything is planned in my head) would be officially launching the website to our community. I spoken to my hosting sponsor, ServerFreak Malaysia about the idea of an afternoon high tea to celebrate this joyous occasion in a very casual manner. There's no fireworks or anything we can afford lavishly being a non-profit community. My vision of the high tea? There would be soft romantic colors, very English with tea cups and pots. I went to researching online (the best place) for high tea reviews and these are some of the inspirational boards that I love!

My Butterfly High Tea won't come close to looking so pretty but squeals! Isn't it nice to look at pictures like this. It makes my heart skip a beat when I look at pretty pictures of parties collages. The color combination, the food, the props used, the mood. Makes me feel like planning my wedding (if only I have so much money to plan one). Economy isn't that great with the inflation going up each time something raise in price.

The Butterfly Project Malaysia is my pet project to bring together beauty & lifestyle bloggers in one community. I revamped the fan page this year March and brought it to life by bringing in review projects that would spark off our hearts and minds. Now my website for this community will be officially launch soon, I'm so happy.

I'm still trying to piece together the perfect Butterfly High Tea. It will have a wonderful spread of English High Tea menu by my favorite caterer Teaffani High Tea (so yes the whole look of the high tea is really going to be fabulous). While everyone is sipping their tea and buttering their scones, a blogging kick starter workshop will start with ServerFreak coming in to tell us how easy it is to start a blog with their wordpress blogging package. They're coming up with special prices for butterflies. I can't reveal too much but definitely this high tea is more for the ones who has been asking me "how to start a blog?".

will turn this place into a magnificent high tea party

    see the lake outside?

The perfect venue for my high tea would be at this lovely place that I spotted on Facebook called Show.Case. They launch two months ago and they gave out free event space to use but only until end of Nov. I was lucky to find this place and block off a date in December, not many people know about Show.Case yet (phew). The place is new, it has wooden flooring and it overlooks the beautiful lake. Many ROM and weddings held around here so I think this is a really romantic place to have the high tea.

imagine all the bloggers come like this!!!

Ask Joey is the Butterfly Project's resident party planner who loves to experiment with dessert table themes. I don't have the money to decorate the whole place up but this dessert table will definitely liven the place up. I asked her if she wanted to be involved and she said yes! (I don't want pissing her off by going to another party planner haha). Wish I could fill the place up with lots of flowers! That would be nice right? Maybe I should go to Petaling Street to hunt down some flowers and diy the place up with center pieces on the table.

At the moment, I am still looking for a goodie bag sponsor who fits the high tea theme. There's only 1 spot for the perfect brand to be involved. I wonder who it will be? Wish me luck in finding.

P.S: Anyone like my poster? I made it today for this Butterfly High Tea.
