My name is Tammy Lim and I am an award winning blogger from Top 10 Malaysia Magazine and Cleo Malaysia Magazine. I have been blogging since 2008 and I am also the founder of a local Malaysian beauty & lifestyle community called The Butterfly Project. People often tell me that I'm a wonder woman, but in reality - if it's something you love, you can do wonders.

When I'm not wondering, I'll be on my computer searching for the next fountain of youth or hunting down a fantastic deal. I'm also a shopaholic, wanderluster, spa enthusiast and proud hipster who loves planning special occasions and surprises for her loved ones.

  • The Olay Challenge Begins!

    9.07.2011

I know what you did last "sleep over"!
(our sleep over was being filmed!)

Week 3: My daily skincare regime is cleanse, serum and moisturized with Olay Regenerist skincare range. Last week I had a sleepover with Camie & my best buddy who just came back from travelling. She look exhausted and tired out, the vacation she took didn't help take the stress off her face.  She was saying how I manage to take care of my skin and look healthy. Of course I had to look good, the big day is coming!

washing our faces before we sleep
(cameras follow us!!! it's just like a reality tv show)

    smile! you're on camera!
    (so is your skin)

I have only a few more weeks to get ready (to look my best). My friend who is getting married is also anxious and she's looking around for a good skincare regime before her big day too. I guess this must be the "10 things to do before you really get married". Let me list down (just my opinion):
    1. skincare regime
    2. slimming sessions
    3. amazing nice hair
    4. full body head to toe pampering session
    5. manicure & pedicure
    6. look for the wedding gown
    7. choose bride's maid(s)
    8. bridal shower party
    9. brazillian wax
    10. white teeth?
Skincare is top on the list coz I remembered when Doroshi was getting married, she spent some good $$ on skincare and a face massager. That got me thinking, girls really cared about their faces on their wedding day. The make up will make us real pretty but a healthy glowing face makes the bride. Hence I guess that's why a lot of brides to be also go for pampering sessions to destress themselves before the big day. Don't want those wrinkly lines and stressed out face on our wedding photos! (take note, maybe substitute white teeth for a good photographer).

    facelift for younger firmer skin?

Talking about wrinkles and the upcoming big day, I read horror stories from tabloid magazines on bride to be going for facelifts and botox before their big day. They show before and after photos and the bride look like a completely "other" person. The one who went for botox had killer dashboard cheeks and she smiled weirdly. Scary >_<

    3 more weeks to go....

Well I am not going to go for botox or facelift, even if I had the choice (money), though I don't mind to have double eyelids because I have really small eyes! For now just going to use good old school way (skincare) to get that radiant look, I thought there was no improvement until two days ago, my colleagues asked me how I kept my skin looking so good. I just smile shyly and told them it's a secret. Just imagine their shock if I told them how old I am?
