    Benefit's new hydrating crease-control concealer

Benebabes out there, you're going to go OMG over the latest product from Benefit Cosmetics! It's going to be available next month at all Benefit Cosmetic Malaysia counters. What's the product? Don't let the packaging fool you one bit because it's no lipstick baybeh, it's a CONCEALER! and not just any concealer, it's the first of its kind hydrating concealer from Benefit Cosmetics!

putting on my Inspector hat to inspect the products

available in light, medium & dark

AHA this is the secret to Fakeup!

Now I have not seen any concealer like this before. Looks like a 2-in-1 product with a concealing core and hydrating ring. How will this work? I was worried that it'll be uneven or worst oily but upon application it actually blends well together creating a smooth, lightweight concealer that moisturizes my eye area. Touch up is required after 4-6 hours for me (I have dry skin).

    What it is?

A lightweight hydrating concealer spying as a lipstick that instantly hides dark circles and diffuses fine lines for silky smooth Au natural look. The first of its kind formula by Benefit Cosmetics proven to keep skin hydrated up to six hours. (source: Benefit Cosmetics)

    How To Apply?

Using the lipstick like concealer stroke the fakeup underneath each eye area and gently pat outward to blend with your ring finger. Touch up on your existing concealer or make up to hydrate and freshen up. Benefit Cosmetic says it won't cake, crease or settle! You can also combine it with other Benefit products (the secret formula) for an instant yuk to wow eye makeover.

P.S: you can also use it on your hands (especially around the knuckles) to hide your age!

    How Much?

It's RM90.00 each available from Benefit Cosmetics counter. It comes in 3 shades - light, medium & dark. Please consult the MUA for the right shade. You might need to a combination of two shades to suit your skin color.

super cute drama by Benefit! The Curious Case

Now time is always not on our side as women. Stress, unhealthy lifestyle like sleeping late, diet, over working will show and hard to recover when it happens. Just watch the video above, Ms. Stress arrives late looking like she hasn't slept in days. Blackout happened and the lights came on, everyone gasp at Ms. Stress now looking fabulous. Detective goes on investigating. Of course if Professor Pink was there to just explain everything it would be easier haha. She was too busy at the Great Hydrating Concealer Coverup in Kuala Lumpur teaching us how we can cover up our dark secrets with her secret formula!

Profession Pink in Malaysia to help us cover up

Professor Pink pouts & shares her secret formula

turn from YUK to WOW in a matter of secs
    (now are you curious how?)

using It's potent! eye cream, ooh la lift & high beam
to create the glowing cover up

blend eye cream + ooh la lift + fakeup & apply under eye
use high beam for dewy, radiant finish

Tip! To instantly refresh your look, smooth on fakeup to touch-up any concealer to diffuse fine lines & hydrate the under-eye area throughout the day.

find your perfect shade at Benefit counter/outlet

fakeup is light creamy concealer that's not oily
(it's not a heavy duty concealer though)

instant smoothing & brightening panda eyes

    can you see the difference?
(only 1 side around eye area used Fake Up)

for younger looking hands? use it on your knuckles too!
(hint: the left is using fakeup)

The photographs above shows my bare face before any make up so you can spot some uneven tone, dark circles, etc. OH the horror but it's worth it to show the difference using Fakeup. Now Fakeup is not your industrial strength concealer like Benefit's Boing. Neither will it help cover serious blemishes or scars. Fakeup works in such a way that it can be use on top of your concealer or without to freshen up your eye area. The first thing you'll notice is it smooths out the lines and brightens up your skin so your dark circles is not so apparent.

    Should you try?

I feel it's like Dr. Feel Good for the eyes + concealer + hydration minus the oiliness. True enough most of the concealers I have used before (especially cream types) cakes or creases after a while. Even when using liquid concealers and your foundation it'll also crease if I laugh or smile too much. I think Benefit's Fakeup is a solution to these problems and it's also a quick perk me up around the eyes when you look insomniac.

    1. Being a law student, it is inevitable to stay up late just to finish reading all the materials, and that excludes doing tutorials and assignment. So having dark circles and eyebag is the grand prize for sleeping late. I hate it! It makes my eyes look tired, dull and not alive. I look like a zombie!and I cannot let others see me like this! I need concealer to cover them up.

Hence, a medium shade concealer would be suitble for me! thank you!

I look really bad with dark circles, dont feel that I am energetic whenever I am with dark circles -.- and worst is, whatever concealer in the market is kind of dry for me and it stuck around the eye fine lines even though I have add in some eye serum... T____T So, this will definitely a good try for me! >_<

    23. I'm blessed with a pair of big eyes but because of this I tend to have more obvious dark circles than any other people. Whether I have ample sleep or not, dark circles will always appear beneath my eyes, no matter how pretty my eye make up is, my dark circles are always there and it's definitely a big turn off and big no-no for many guys! Moreover, I have kinda given up on eye creams which claim to lighten dark circles cause I find no differences after trying tubes and tubes of drugstore and counter brands eye creams. So I realise concealer may be my only saviour to make my eyes unleash their fullest power. I would wanna try this out as benefits products always deliver their promises to make women more beautiful!
      I want the medium colour!

    38. I state the facts of my case:

Item 1: I am a full time mom to extremely active 6 year old girl and 8 month old boy, recently full time student, now working full time 8-6. (I sometimes used to sleep only 2 to 3 hours per night).

Item 2: My day starts at 5.30am, and usually ends at 1am. Please take note I feed my baby every 3 hours EVERY NIGHT. Items 1 & 2 have caused the WORST dark circles EVER seen on a human being. My husband has been mistaking me for an old panda soft toy he used to have as a little boy.

Item 3: In addition to items 1 & 2, pregnancy (hormones, hormones!! times TWO) have caused me to be cursed with this HUGE pigmentation spot RIGHT UNDER my MONSTROUS dark circles. *Why couldn't it be in the shape of a lovely crescent moon? Then I can perasan to be Lena Duchannes in Beautiful Creatures*

Item 4: I have dry and oily eyelids. Contrary, I know, but depending on the time of the day, my eyelids can start off dry and end up oily.. So 99% of the concealers out there give me oil seeds. *sobs*

If I don't get help and SOON, my husband is going to start calling me Pandow - the weird hybrid of a Panda and a Cow.

Please, Miu Plusized Kitten, help me win the BENEFIT FAKE UP HYDRATING CONCEALER *in Medium shade*. You're my only hope! (like Princess Leia said to Obi Wan Kenobi).

I not only want it because of its Hydrating effect but because of the concealment which I so desperately need.

May the Force be with you!

Being a mother, my son waking for milk after midnite, not getting enough sleep, hence the dark circles act like a permanent marker under my eyes. Makes my eyes seem dull n lifeless. Bad impression n don't look professional on my career too. The eyes are the windows to your soul, we communicate with our eyes too. A medium shade would perfectly fake up my eyes!

    79. If it's one problem I hate it's dark under eye circles! I have this problem for the longest while and barely any product I use help. My dark eye circles are due to my hectic work and school schedule! Waking up at 4:30 AM for work getting off at 4:30 PM, then heading to my University classes at 5:30 PM until 9PM, coming home getting assignments and studying done and prepping for work the next day leaves me with roughly 4 hours of sleep everyday. If it's one problem I could get rid off would be that! If I won I'd choose the medium shade. :)

BTW, ur techinique of combining before and after photos is awesome!

    87. Dear Tammy,

I have naturally deep set eyes. And so there is a natural dark cast around my eyes. Not to say that they're horrid or anything but, it doesn't make the best combination with dark circles. At all. And because I always stay up late studying (or am i?), it just gets worse! T_T I end up going about my day with seemingly sunken black pockets for eyes. Yay me...

I would love to win this giveaway! *big black doe eyes* I'm a MEDIUM thanks^^

      Yours truly,
      Miyen ;)

    88. Undereye circles are the worst because no matter how good the rest of your face looks, they make you look tired, dull, and unhappy :( I normally wear eyeliner, mascara, lip product, blush, and sometimes eyeshadow, but the dark circles under my eyes really need to go. The medium shade of Fake Up would suit me best!

    89. Dark circles makes anything i put on my eyes look grey. Would love to try this out in medium shade. Thanks!

    90. There's nothing worse than dark circles to make a mommy look tired and OLD - at best. Sometimes mine even make me look sickly, especially during allergy season.

It's been really hard finding a concealer that's light enough and doesn't get flaky or settle into my fine lines and look worse than when I started. Love the idea of moisturizer WITH the concealer - it might be just what I've been looking for.

    91. Whenever I have problems or heartbreaks, I would cry the whole night and most of the time, I'll wake up with terribly zombie-dark circles which really adds 20 years to my age!

I bought multiple concealers to cover that up but not only they don't help, but some even accentuates the dark circles while some look like yellow patches which dries up and become flaky...

It would be awesome if I can put my hands on this medium shade concealer!

      Thanks!

    92. Now that sounds like a great solution for a girl with panda eyes that have to face the computer more than 8 hours daily.
The 2-in-1 benefit that conceals core and hydrates ring around the eyes is like the act washing the face and putting on make up minus the hassle of do it again!
Most makeup tends to dry or turn oily and cake up on the face by mid-day or noon, thus this product definitely seems like a magic wand that does wonders to the face.
I would love to try out the Benefit Fake Up Hydrating Concealer Medium Tone :D

    96. I love your up-to-date reviews of all beauty products, very humble and useful tips too. I have serious sinus problem, so my dark eye circle has been my BFF for as long as i know. Due to this reason, concealer has been my BFFT (Best Friend Forever Too).Im always on the look for concealer that does not cake up or make creases especially on the under eye and this beauty review seems like a "God Sent" message to me.

Therefore, a medium shade FakeUp will be perfect for my BFF aka Dark eye circle... :)
