Do you know there's a 7-11 for hair products? Well calling it 7-11 is a bit too cheap, but I like to simplify the explanation by saying it's the 7-11 of all hair care needs. This new place that I discover last weekend, has 7 outlets in the Klang Valley housing over 8,000 products for every hair and beauty needs. Sounds awesome? Come take a look at the shop!
Ops did I forgot to say the name of the shop? Well it's the Hair Depot and I'm at the Bangsar outlet. Today they have invited me and my butterfly blogger friends over to experience window shopping here. They have prepared a scalp analysis session for everyone so that we know what our current hair concerns and needs would be before buying a shampoo. Seeing almost everyone's hair was damaged or dry (girls today abuses our hair too much - coloring, chemical services, rebonding) Hair Depot also recommended for everyone to use hair masks.
My scalp analysis session was quite an eye opener. I was told by the staff that my scalp is oily and I have broken hair pores! (which meant hair fall is my issue too). You'd be surprised that the staffs here are trained to be experts in the hair care matters. Sigh when did my hair become oily scalp? I thought I have always had dry scalp because of my dandruff problems. Hair Depot recommended me to use the Midori Scalp Balancing Shampoo & Hair Mask. I asked if walk in customers would also get their scalp scan? They said yes! It's part of their education plan to not only sell hair care products but also to guide customers to buying the right hair care products.
tadah!! the one stop hair care centre!

few products that I would love to try!
(some already loved like Mythic Oil)
(some already loved like Mythic Oil)
I was recommended to use Midori to balance my scalp!
some of the reputable brands are also found here
(from affordable to premium)
sucker for packaging & old school stuffs
need a professional salon hairdryer to blow dry hair in a jiffy
other beauty products are also available
but Anfaal & me thinks this is the most crazy item here!
With so many hair care brands here, you'd wonder what's the price like compared to professional salons. Well first off, there's promotions every month and discounts for members. On top of that, you'd see certain slash off prices on selected products. You don't see this at the salon. Hair Depot also carries major hair care brands like Kerastase, Redken and L'Oreal.
Choose from a diverse selection of over 8,000 products across hundreds of well-known brands such as Erayba, L'oreal, Nioxin, Redken, Paul Mitchel, Schwarzkopf from luxury salon & spa brands to high-street saviours, as well as eco-chic natural & organic staples. With new products arriving every month, you’re sure to find something uniquely yours.
Another question, since my favorite hair brands can be found here and the price is say *blink blink* great, are these products for real? (genuine products?). This is just one of the questions my reader Shiro asked me when she found out about Hair Depot. Well rest assure Shiro, Hair Depot is 100% real with values instilled in their business!
The popular hair curling product that's taking Asia by storm now can be found here too, although there's many variation of models being made. The one in Hair Depot is called the Curl Expert. It's so easy to use, you don't even have to go to the salon to curl your hair anymore! Watch this video to see how easy it is.
1. On the Curl Expert
2. Put hair into it (not too thick)
3. Curl Expert sucks it into the machine & heats the hair
4. Hear the *beep beep* sound and release the hair
5. Repeat all over hair for the princess curl look!
Well easy things don't come cheap. This Curl Expert costs more than the average looking curling tong. If budget is a problem, there are other hair styling products available at Hair Depot to help you style your hair at home.
This ain't just a hair product shop because you can find skincare, body care and beauty accessories (although limited in variety). I found some great buys that I instantly purchase because hmm the price is right and I've never seen such a cute mask pill before! Mask pills can be used to soak up your serum or toner to use as face mask to instantly plump and hydrate your skin after 5-10mins.
Besides that I also bought a eyelash glue, eyebrow shaver and a foot filler (gosh of all weird things to buy right?).
The staffs are also well trained to meet customer's needs and wants. Anyone having a hair distress problem can just walk in anytime and consult one of the staffs for advise. They will do their best to server and help customers with responsible choices.
hello I'm Curl Expert & I'm on promotion!
but I have my eyes on this baby! the Curl Expert
(everyone's talking about this now)

this is how it's done, so easy right?
I can easily summarize how easy it is to use this baby! Well in my own words and I hope I can buy this for myself. The only reason I go to salon is I couldn't curl my own hair when I need to!1. On the Curl Expert

DeleteWe may have the same hair issue haha :( which Midori product did you were specifically recommended?
ReplyDeleteI was recommended to use the Midori Scalp Balancing Shampoo & Hair Mask, Syaza! Same scalp issues? I haven't start using the shampoo and mask yet. Will start this week to see if there's any improvements.
Deletei love the hair chalks the best!
ReplyDelete1 box rm38 (promo price) now at Hair Depot. They were nice to give me one box as a blogger so I am able to "experiment" at home hehe!
DeleteWah... Dandruff might be from oily scalp instead of dry scalp? That scalp analysis is really an eye-opener! Need to go for a session too. At least we know what products to purchase after that. Thanks for this information, Tammy! :)
ReplyDeleteyeah interesting right... never know that too. I always thought dandruff = flaky = dry scalp?
Deletenow i have oily scalp.. huh.. can see on the scalp scan monitor it's oily n shiny >_< eeww.. things looks scary up close...
best post is here!!! omg! how can i beat this post to win the curler la.. lower chance liao.. =p
ReplyDeleteHOPE I WIN CURL EXPERT!!!!!!! but maybe ur post will be better? got 3 prizes to win!
DeleteThe hair curler has me jumping up and down! I have no sense of direction when it comes to curling my own hair and I get curls in every direction so I look insane when I try to do curls. I'm so happy this has finally come to town!
ReplyDeletehey babe.... u and me = same boat. I have no sense of any direction for my hair and always rely on chemical treatments to achieve that primp n proper look. Anything I need, must go to hair salon coz i don't even know how to blow my hair properly.. besides making it dry.
DeleteSeriously hope the prices of curl expert or curling products out there would lower down in time of market demand.
Damn! they have that babyliss curler! I've been dying to get that Curl Expert!
ReplyDeletenow got discount and promo u should go check it out :)
DeleteHi Tammy, was Midori brand suitable for your hair?
ReplyDeletehi Robin,
DeleteIt didn't leave any impression on me. I did not repurchase Midori. Currently I am using Nioxin range.
I like to take care of my hair and create more hairstyles to refresh myself no matter what day.
