a page from Harper's Bazaar prove to be handy
I have decided to use the mountain of magazines I buy every month (about more 5 magazines I subscribed to) to gift wrap my Christmas presents this year. Why do we need to buy wrapping papers nowadays? It's going to be torn and thrown away! not unless your present comes with free gift wrapping from the shop, I won't stop you from spending $$ on wrapping papers when u have tons of them at home. Yes newspapers, old books, magazines can be recycle into wrapping paper. Add a bit of your own personal touch or make it creative using things at home. You might find it interesting too. Colorful pages with smiley faces is best! comic page from newspapers make it very retro like. Do avoid "misfortune topics" like "accidents killed XXX" or "house burnt down xxx". Be tactful!

ReplyDeletejust did one wrapping using harper's bazaar page title chic shopping! couldn't resist that page n tied it with a recycle pink bow i kept. So now the photo's being changed to my own ^_^

ReplyDeleteCath: brilliant money saving idea and also eco friendly! newspapers can be fun, but avoid the too inky types which tends to smudge off people's hand. For now I'm gona use magazines coz just too many at home n too sayang to throw! sob sob.. but can't keep also for so long..

ReplyDeleteLOVE it! I've also been using old books to decoupage product boxes (popsicle, mac and cheese, etc.) so I can use them for shipping and/or present storage.
