Once a while our dear friend Jean who's an avid food blogger would invite us to join her for some extravagant food tasting session. The most recent one was high tea at The Lobby Lounge, Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur. At times like this, I love her more (I'm so terrible ahaha!). The weather was right and four of us were free to have a cuppa. It was difficult to make an appointment according to Jean because the high tea is always fully booked! that's how popular it is to have your tea here. The last time I was there, I have fallen in love with their elegant and tastefully prepared hot and cold beverages!

I have never seen so many tea selection in my life, it was 40 Ronnefeldt teas and I closed my eyes and picked one closes to my heart - lemongrass tea. I should have chosen the Irish Whiskey Cream tea, it has a hint of Whiskey Cream underneath the warm tea. A unique taste that I will come back for again. Alternatively, if you're from the upper east side and tea is not in your menu, you can choose to add a bubbly twist with a glass or bottle of Laurent-Perrirer champagne.

We were told that the high tea dessert cart was broken so we could not select our desserts. Instead it was hand-picked for us. If the dessert cart wasn't broken, a list of selections would be like the one below:

• Home cured Atlantic salmon and cream cheese on herb roll

I really enjoyed the afternoon with my friends, though we seldom meet since I stay near One Utama, I think we should make it a monthly ritual to have high tea at high places while exchanging tales among each other. HOLD IT I just notice in every photo there's Wing's red Samsung android phone (we just got proff she's obsessed with social media). An afternoon tea like this costs RM75++ for two pax, if you come in threes just add RM18++ for second pot of tea.
