  • WeChat Puts FUN Back in Friends

    4.09.2013

did anyone go to the WeChat Party last week?

Readers you don't really see me blogging about night scenes on my blog as I don't usually like to hang out at night. Already pass my party phase (who am I kidding, I never party before haha). When I received the invitation to go party at Neverland, Kuala Lumpur for the WeChat Party 2013 launch, I went "what's Neverland?". This is how "ketinggalan zaman" I am.

snippets of what I see that night

Neverland is a club, this huge place with the letter N stuck outside its entrance. Looks boring outside but when I finally went pass the big mob of waiting line, the inside was like Akademi Fantasia. There was a huge smartphone digital photo booth where we can choose photo layouts and take a picture. This was seriously fun, check out the pictures we took below!

a fun way to remember the night!
(2 girls & Isabel, Senri, Rabiatul)

The pictures were printed on the spot (like Canon Selphy) and we got to keep one each for memories. I wish we could take many many pictures! but there was a long waiting line behind us. Already missed out on the buffet table and the cute WeChat cupcakes (didn't get to take pic!). The place was jam pack with media and bloggers. The night started with fun jokes lead by our very own Malaysian Jack Black, performances by Vivian Chua, Henley Hii and Awi Rafael. There was also lucky draws, battles of the sexes games (hilariously funny thanks to emcee again).

had so much fun watching the performances & jokes!
(despite overly crowded, I felt young again ahaha)

met so many fascinating & friendly bloggers

Of course, you'll be wondering why I am talking about some night party thing showing all the fun things that happened? Well if you piece it all up with WeChat, you'll realize everything that happened is in relation to fun, friends, camwhoring (talking pictures of each other), making crazy faces (emoticon) and remembering moments together. What's WeChat then? in my own words, I'll say it's the all in one social networking app that combines Instagram, Facebook, What's App, Talk Box, Line and Friend Finder all in one. Dam won't that be so slow?! Surprisingly no, you can download it for free and try it out for yourself!

WeChat is a new and powerful mobile communication tool. It supports sending voice, video, photo and text messages. You can also do group chats, or you can find new friends nearby to talk to. WeChat works on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Symbian and Blackberry devices.

I like the feature tat like twitter/ weibo, can share ur feeling, share ur photo within ur social circle.
Just feel some weird when ur friend reply her post to her friend who is not in your contact. YOU only can see ur friends reply, but cannot see her friend comment... something like sendiri chatting, syok sendiri..
