  • I Got Money For My AirAsia Flight Delay

    7.10.2023

    AirAsia Travel Delay Insurance

My flight from Chiang Mai to Kuala Lumpur was delayed for over 2 hours last weekend, and thankfully, I did check that little button at the checkout page to pay for the lowest possible insurance coverage. You know, just in case anything happens, I have some medical coverage.

What I didn't expect was to get money—yes,  real money back for my delayed flight.

the email came in this morning

omg it does work! no pattern banyak from AirAsia

As usual, my morning routine includes checking email with a coffee at hand if I'm not feeling utterly demotivated to do so. Then I saw the email, and my face lit up. I immediately ran to my fiance, Baby G and told him about my jackpot. Well, to be honest, I didn't expect there would be a flight delay, much less buy insurance that covers that too.

    Tune Protect Online Claim

Thankfully, the povvo in me remembered I bought the insurance, so I went to check the email showing the coverage, and there was a tiny area that said "submit claims". It led me to this website, Tune Protect Website, and I entered my flight booking number and proceeded to submit my request.

it will show you details of your claim submissions

So that's how I got nearly half of my flight budget back, all thanks to one delay and me clicking that tiny button that says add-on insurance. It was only RM15++ per way, and mine was a return flight, so I paid RM30.50. Baby G was so fuming mad that he refused to add-on insurance for his return flight. He could've gotten RM200 richer.
