  • Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner Review

    5.25.2013

    rose scented body jam anyone?

Yesterday I went to Hammam Baths, Publika for a Moroccan spa treat. By now you'll probably know I'm seriously crazy about massages of any kind haha. Hammam Baths is one of my favorite spas because they use argan rose oils in their massages. I even ordered a rose hair mask (but wasn't impressed with the results). Back home, I remembered I had this tub of rose jam scented body conditioner (not body cream) so I continue my Moroccan experience at home. The weather is sunny and dry at the moment, my skin needed that extra oomph.

With scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, this is the most luxurious body softener that ever was (if we don't say so ourselves!). After washing up, slather yourself all over with this new invention. Rinse, pat dry and revel in supremely soft, rose-scented skin.

I just got to gush about this product because I have never used one like this before so it's pretty interesting (which I love! I love discovering new bath products). Just like your hair, you shampoo and then you conditioner to moisturized it so it's soft, silky and manageable when it's dry. The Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner is just like that, minus the hair part. Ro is short for Rowena, the lady who made this rose-scented shower "lotion" because she loves the sultry soft feeling hair conditioner gives.

This particular product is not entirely made of fresh ingredients, it's part natural part using safe synthetics to create. Using scoops of cocoa butter, cupuacu butter, almond oil and Argan oils, and the fragrant scent of fresh rose petals, Lush is confident this is one of the most luxurious body softener ever made. I for one, agree because this is my first body conditioner and it brings me back to Moroccan Spa experience, only I enjoyed it at home after a shower.

watch me show it off in video

    texture: smooth creamy lotion

It's pretty easy to use, just shower and just before you think you're done. Slater on this baby all over your baby, enjoy the slippery moment and then rinse off under the shower. You'll love the smooth soft feeling it gives you. You might even accidentally use it as a body cream, but I rather have the shower experience.

Argan oil, a Moroccan treasure used for skin softening
    (for over a hundred years)

P.S anyone a Lush fan here in Malaysia? because Lush is coming to Malaysia soon! (this year?) I won't tell when or where or how! Just stay tune on http://www.lushcosmetics.my. Can't wait to find out what's in store and how much the prices would be like!

    What I like:
I love the rose jam scented body conditioner. It's fun to use in the shower after you cleanse your body. The slippery feeling of having a velvety cover over you and then the final rinse off makes you feel like a Moroccan Princess. Skin is soft for a few hours, I love to use this right before I go to sleep because of the sensual relaxing scent. The rose jam scent might be a turn off to some. The scent doesn't last after a couple of hours.

    What I don't like:
The price tag. It's $55 / 225g. That's about RM120++ after conversion for a tub of body conditioner! But I know argan and rose oil, they're not cheap. It takes over 60,000 roses to make just one ounce of essential oil! The rose oil used in this is called "Rosa damascena" the damask rose, which is widely grown in Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, Pakistan, India, Uzbekistan, Iran and China.

    4. I bought this in Jan during a biz trip to US, and I absolutely agree with you, smooth and silking, and wonderful rose scent (not too overpowering). this is absolutely a good use especially if you're in a dry/winter season country. How i wished it would come in a pump-bottle or tube, instead of a jar.
