I've finally went to Hong Kong Disneyland!
I went on a sudden 3D2N getaway to the nearest Disneyland from Malaysia. Guess where? Hong Kong Disneyland of course! I packed my bag 2 weeks ago, grabbed my camera, booked Air Asia tickets for my brother and fiancé; and BANG in about 4 hours I already smelled the air in Hong Kong. It's my first time here and also my first time to Disneyland. Why didn't I come here sooner?! *regrets*
where to eat, see & have fun in Disneyland
There is just so much things to do and say about my adventures in Hong Kong Disneyland that I have decided to break my journey into 3 - 5 posts! I mean yeah the food on day 1 was AWESOME!!! (will be talking about it soon) and the hotel I stayed in? Super back to the past, 1930s Disney's Hollywood Hotel! Launched on 12 September 2005 with 600 guests rooms each with a garden, sea or park view that overlooks Hong Kong Disneyland park, this is the affordable hotel everyone should stay in Hong Kong if you visit Disneyland!
P.S: There's two hotels in Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Hotel (the one I stayed in) and Disneyland Hotel, the Victorian themed hotel with 400 guests rooms and a convention centre with ballrooms and halls. There's special suites and Jacuzzi in Fantasia room making this hotel a more luxury hotel than Disney’s Hollywood Hotel.

the 1930s Hollywood themed hotel
arrived early & went to store luggage first
look at the Hollywood check-in counters!
couldn't resist taking this picture of the ling ding 30s
We got a green taxi to go Disneyland that costs us only HKD120 one way to Disney’s Hollywood Hotel It was only a 30mins drive from the airport to the hotel. Arriving early, check-in wasn't until 3pm so we stored our luggage instead and hop on the Disneyland bus which operated daily from morning till night, rounding the hotels to Disneyland Resort every so 15 - 30mins (depending on days & route).
hey wait for me bro don't go without me!
you won't miss your shuttle bus, just look out for this sign!
arrived at Disneyland Hotel for lunch
couldn't resists spying at the souvenir shop
Since it was our first time, the one thing we couldn't stop ourselves from visiting is the Disneyland souvenir shops! They are practically everywhere you go. There's one at each hotel and many more at Disneyland. The prices are the same so it's not going to be more expensive in Disneyland. A large sum of our pocket money went to buying souvenirs from here! haha.
Anyway prior to coming to Hong Kong, we checked out the award winning Crystal Lotus restaurant online and found out there's this "Disney Special Dim Sum Lunch Set Promotion" everyone talking about where you eat Disney character dim sums! I don't know how good this will be but I wanted to eat something Disney during my stay. Not everyone can just walk in and ask for the "Disney Special Dim Sum Lunch Set Promotion". You need to make advance booking as least 48 hours before checking in your hotel. Click here for menu and information.

enjoying our first Disney dining experience
Overall, you know I ain't a food blogger but I do know one thing about the Disney Special Dim Sum Lunch Set (character dim sum) is that it's amazingly delicious! I wasn't expecting anything good because friends told me hotel food is not good! This proves them so wrong, no wonder the Crystal Lotus won an award. The unique and fun dim sum experience was out of this place. How often do one get to eat Disney inspired characters Dim Sum in Pau shape and waffles? I just wished I ate this everyday during my stay here! it's worth paying HKD$415 per pax for (roughly RM160). IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!!! This is one time that I can say what looks cute taste GOOD too! I love the Little Pig Barbecue Pork Bun.
to be continue, our amazing race Asia Disney style!
After our so deliciously amazing lunch (I am already missing it so much and regretting not bringing my fiance to eat it, he went to Disneyland first without us) we got on the shuttle bus to Disneyland Resort and had an amazing time racing up and around Disneyland catching all the shows on our first day (so we don't miss any good stuff!) in a mere 3 hours before meeting my fiance at Mystic Point to have dinner. Curious how many shows we saw? stay tune for part 2!
