  • How To Make Lemongrass Foot Soak

    7.04.2014

let's do a homemade foot scrub shall we?

Today I shall share my guide one making one of the easiest homemade foot soak using a simple recipe that only uses 3 ingredients. These ingredients can be found even at home, your kitchen or garden. Now who don't like lemongrass? From the moment you step into a spa the scent of lemongrass welcomes you to an oasis of relaxation. Lemongrass is also my favorite aromatherapy scent and ingredient in cooking Thai food. For my DIY homemade beauty tip today, I will be showing you how to make the Lemongrass Foot Soak so you can soothe your aching feet at home.

    DIY Lemongrass Foot Soak Recipe

Now the question is what kind of salt should I use? Well it's basically up to your preference. Should you only have salt at home, you can still use it. However it is recommended to use Epsom Salt or sea salt. These salts are rich in minerals and it makes absorption quickly too. If you are using normal salt, considering adding a teaspoon of baking soda which helps to remove odors, dead skins and soften your skin.

Lemongrass essential oil and dried lemongrass is available at your local aromatherapy shop. They can also be found at DIY beauty shops in shopping malls. Alternatively you can even chopped up some fresh lemongrass in your kitchen to give you that fresh ZING.

Hope you like my DIY beauty tip today. This is a great recipe for you to try at home or make them as gifts for a party or soiree. Foot soaks are great to promote circulation and soothe your feet. Be creative, maybe you will make Nasi Lemak Foot Soak one day?

    Where I Buy My Ingredients:
    1. Lemongrass leaf from Soap Artisan, Publika Shopping Center (it's next to B.I.G market)
    2. Salt - buy Himalayan or Epsom Salt from your local grocer, you can usually find these in Cold Storage, etc or local organic health store e.g BMS 1Utama.
    3. Lemongrass Oil - can be purchase from Soap Artisan (atm this is where I found diy beauty products) and must not be the "aromatherapy burner oil". It must be essential oils for body.
