  • Lazada Malaysia: What You Think?

    3.11.2014

on my wish list was the Philips Jet Clean System

I started blogging not just because I love sharing about my life but because I was a proactive consumer who also share my shopping experiences online. I particularly hate bad customer service or any companies in Malaysia that think consumer rights is a bull. When I was studying in Australia, I purchase frozen dim sums priced wrongly and the store still honored my purchase because it was NOT MY FAULT the price was an error. When I came back to Malaysia, Cold Storage pissed me off so much with their faulty price errors. It's daylight robbery if nobody checks their receipts! It happened so often, I gave up complaining. The only thing I could do was make sure the price was right during register or I'll ask the cashier to re-check the price. There was once I bought tin can soups and salamis, I found out it has already expired at home. Gosh!

Lazada notifies me the item is available

Now the best story to happen lately? When I receive an e-mail notification from Lazada Malaysia that the item I was eyeing on is now in stock! It was advertised since last year as out of stock. I figure it must be really an awesome deal since it's out of stock and I wanted one for my fiance. After months of waiting, I got so excited with the good news I quickly purchase the item on my mobile.

Philips Jet Clean System RQ1280 + Philips Jet Clean Solution is available at Lazada Now!

I gotten my fiance the shaver and what was missing is the cleaning system which looks like some high tech gizmo. It's a dock for the shaver and comes with the cleaning solution. This for RM72, you can imagine my joy when it's finally in stock.

     my order confirmation 300147771

Now here comes the bad news. After a few days I received a call from Lazada Malaysia customer service. I do not remember who called me as the line wasn't clear. I remembered the lady telling me the product I purchase is for a cleaning solution. I was like huh? I purchased the Jet Clean System + Cleaning Solution I corrected her. I asked her if this is an error and that it was advertised since last year! No explanation, only repeating that it was for a cleaning solution and if I wanted my order still. I was so down, I didn't want to talk to her anymore. She didn't seem apologetic, it was more of a call to cancel my order so this can be forgotten.

    they cancel my order GRRRRR

they changed the deal page since then but it's still...

was it an error or an attempt not to sell me something awesome?

I still can't get over how an item I been watching since last year on Lazada Malaysia can "vanish" the day I purchase it. Was it too good a deal that they ran out of stock again so they cancel my order citing it was only for the cleaning solution? Who bought the items last year when it was out of stock then? Why am I the one who cannot have it now?. Can I even trust this site anymore since orders can be cancel and products that does not exists can be sold?

Update: Lazada Malaysia contacted me to explain why this happened. I am still upset over the misleading deal advertised however nothing can be done since it was human error. They offered me a RM75 coupon as an apology.

    1. Gosh!!!! salah advertise??? this cannot happen.

i teringat dulu Apple pun pernah salah advertise, salah harga. than bila ramai beli, dorang batalkan jualan tersebut.

    4. Had 2 bad experiences with Lazada :

      (1) Saw some great deals on toys and I went on a shopping spree & payment all made but in the end, they emailed & say the deal is not honoured. Period ! --- reason it is dishonoured was most prob I thk they indicated the price wrongly as it was ridiculously cheap. They called & say they will return the postage to my credit card but no words of apology / saying there was a mix up. Just said they do not honor the purchase.

      (2) Bought 2 items at the same time --- both INDICATED clearly as IN STOCK. Once payment is made, they informed 1 of the item is not available. When I asked further, they mentioned that once an order is accepted at their site, they will then have to check with the merchant on the stock availability. So if it is available, they will arrange it to be sent out. If not, they will just conveniently cancel your purchases.

Ohhh, their customer service sucks big time as well ya.. For my ONLY successful purchase, THEY indicated a wrong address on the consignment note & I have to checked with the courier company so many days in order to get my parcel. Their customer service are not replying emails & will be saying they will check & revert when I call.. When they finally reply my email after 2 weeks, not to help in solving the issue but to apologise and offering a RM30 voucher for my next purchase ! For me, no more LAZADA ! ....

    8. I think we just need to recheck the price and the items ourselves too. I saw an advertisement for a baby car seat on sale from toysrus in Lazada last year. So I called to enquired from Toysrus.. who told me the item is no longer in stock and asked where did I see the advertisement. So, this means lazada does not update on the status of their items and indirectly gives false advertisement.

    9. Hi,
I had a very bad experience with lazada.

My item got lost. they are telling me it is delivered, but i have not got it.

On calling customer care they are giving me same answer since from 3 weeks that they have sent a mail to skynet courier people for proof of deliver.

I suggest people not to buy anything from LAZADA. I have couple of my personal bad experience with lazada.
