Piolang 24K Gold Wrapping Mask Review

if Cleopatra can bath in gold, why can't we mask with gold?

The secret to being youthful according to some wild stories (well maybe they're real) is that Cleopatra's beauty and youth is thanks to her undying love for gold. Well, it's said she bathed and masked in gold. Maybe that's how she landed that rich Caesar dude but like all love stories, hers was a tragic one. I am not interested in being another person's mistress but I am interested in attaining that youthful glow everyone wants from Korea.

Introducing the Piolang 24K Gold Wrapping Mask that uses pure gold to wrap your face into luxurious soft goodness. I am not kidding when I describe it this way. It's one of the masks that could make my face super soft inside out! You can feel the softness just by pressing into your cheeks and it gives that "boing boing" effect. Loosely translated to "bouncy bouncy".

This mask is claims to do the following:
  • helps lift and firm skin
  • reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles
  • effectively dilute redness, remove splash, even out skin tone
  • skin is silky smooth, firmer, radiant, revitalised and youthful looking
  • helps reduce the aging effects of stress

all the way from Korea, the gold mask

it's liquid gold inside

addicted to using this mask 2 - 3 times a week

liquid gold, dries up into a peel off rubbery layer

 *giggles* gold finger HAHAHA

this isn't going to be easy to do a before & after
(condition of my face isn't that bad)

this is how it looks like when it dries up
(10 - 15mins or longer depending on how thick you apply)

immediately after peeling the mask off
I can feel my skin super soft like baby's bum!

I can't say for sure if this mask helps me to look young, but it feels young indeed thanks to the super softness and bouncy bouncy cheeks I have after using it. A wrapping mask does not give you the watery hydration effect (that's sheet mask or gel mask). Wrapping masks helps firms, lifts and delivery nutrients into your skin. The gold mask is made of nano molecules that would penetrate deep into your skin layers to give you that bouncy softness. It may helped with reducing the look of wrinkles (I don't have a problem with wrinkles yet to affirm this). It definitely even out my skin tone and making my cheeks radiant. After using this mask for a month, I am MUST to re-purchase this until I get tired of it.

Price: RM69 (NP RM269)
Scent: No fragrance
Texture: Thick Liquid that dries up to a rubbery texture
Colour: Gold
Packaging: Black with Egyptian design on it. Simple.

How To Use:
Takes some practice to evenly apply a smooth layer onto face (avoiding eyes & lip area). Be generous with the layering for optimum results. The thicker it is, the slower it dries up. After it dries up (which you can feel by touching) just gently peel from one corner to another and clean any leftover bits up. Do not need to wash face.

For the price of RM69 instead of RM269 at www.althea.kr where I purchased it, I say this has got to be one of the best investment purchase I made for mask category *jumps for joy*. It's currently sold out, so wait for it to be restock girls!

    1. oh no... :( coz it's not a cleanser... and the nutrients of this type of leave on mask, is left on your skin so if u wash it's going to be washed away..

    1. Hmmm mine wasn't pulled off :) It's not strong enough as a puller. Once it's dried, it's more like a dried flat glue texture.

  4. Hello! I just purchased mine and excited to use this. I'm glad I stumbled upon your blog post. However, I am quite confused to which part of the skin care routine does this go? Should I apply this immediately after cleansing or toning? And also, should I apply essence before this or only after? Thank you so much! :)
