  • Have you tried Dragon's Blood & Snake Mask before?

    10.14.2012

    Dragon's Blood? for real?

Lady Gaga swears by Dragon's Blood by Rodial. Angelina Jolie relies on it to maintain her youthful appearance. Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton diet secrets includes the Rodial's crash diet kit. Because of these lines, I accepted the invitation to have a skin makeover at the Face Factor Clinic, Solaris Dutamas (Publika). Initially I thought it was at Solaris Mont Kiara, but I still made it albeit a being late to Publika. Many would be lost trying to find a shop here, Publika or Solaris Dutamas can be quite confusing. Since I lived across Publika for 3 years, I knew where it was *snigger snigger*. Back to the question, DRAGON'S BLOOD? I thought dragons are extinct, wait what am I talking about, they're a myth! aren't they?

Rodial products used in my quickie facial
    Glamoxy Snake Mask 50ml RM340
    Dragon's Blood Sculpting gel 30ml RM390
    Dragon's Blood Eye Gel 15ml RM210

I was expecting a full facial, so it shocked me that I was only having a quickie facial. I do hope the clinic considers sound proofing their rooms because I could hear everyone from where I was laying. Questions posed to the beautician left me confused. After the facial I found out why! So it's actually a product demo using Rodial skincare which apparently is famed overseas especially in Hollywood. Many celebrities like Megan Fox, Beyonce, Anne Hathaway and Gwyneth Paltrow uses Rodial. The clinic does not carry these products, the venue was used specially for this get to know Rodial session. I was impressed after talking to the General Manager of Rodial, Liyana Sarah Rizal Wong. She explained to me the products used during the facial.

     face lift without surgery

    dragon don't come cheap

    hisss...hisss.... *bites*

Anyway here's my review on the facial using Rodial products:

I was ushered into the first treatment room & asked to lay down. First few things I notice was a drape curtain separating my room from the second, where another blogger was having her facial. I find it interesting that I wasn't asked to change into something more comfortable. Perhaps it was because it's an express facial.

cleansing - snake mask - tone - dragon's blood - eye gel - sun block

My beautician is from Philippines, I enjoyed the session under her care. Her touch was gentle, soft and careful. Things I admired in a facial session. I didn't like the cleansing cloth though, it was rough. The jet black brightening "snake mask" was next. Used to reduce pore size, draw out impurities & excess sebum, brightens and corrects skin tone. The smell was overbearing for me, like a powerful fume. However I could instantly feel it's tightening effects on my skin. That I have to give it credit! Used only for 5 mins, shows how powerful the mask is. Peeling the mask off was tough, one has to slowly and carefully peel it off.

A Hyaluronic Tonic was used, then came the cooling Dragon's Blood Sculpting Gel that plumps up and softens my face, giving me a more lifted cheek effect without having botox. Slight burning sensation that quickly went off during the application. I enjoyed the eye massage using Dragon's Blood Eye Gel, softly circulating under my eyes. My facial ended with sun block and I was up. Quickly I snap my after shot to compare.

I don't see any visual differences, but I could feel the plumping effects of the Dragon's Blood Sculpting Gel and my pores were tighten. I should stop smiling one side (if that's a smile) on my face. Sorry I ain't a smiley person (muahhaha).

    can anyone see the difference?

amazed at the Glamoxy Snake Serum which instantly hides wrinkles

SO the question, were there really Dragon's Blood used in the products? and what about the Snake Mask?! eee... is it really snake smashed up and liquefied to be used as a mask, probably a secret to eternal youth's remedies that's now being disclosed and marketed? No no no.

Apparently it's a plant type that contributed to both names being used in the product range. The Dragon's Blood range is the new liquid face lift range, set out to plump your skin with all products containing the soothing and protecting ingredient dragon's blood, they're suitable for event the most sensitive skin. Freeze time and unlock younger looking skin with the Glamoxy Snake range. Derived from the sap of a tree that has neuropeptides and oxygenating sy-nake features used to instantly freeze and lift skin to look smoother and younger.

That's the story of the Dragon's Blood and Snake mask :) which you can find out more at www.rodial.com.my.

      1. Hi Arisa! If you are looking for something to boost energy expenditure and fat burning then yes, the Crash Diet Sticks are exactly the thing for you. The best would of course be to take the complete Rodial slimming set - and here's why:
        1) Crash Diet Sticks - fat burn via higher energy expenditure through Green Coffee, Guarana and slower fat absorption via Green Tea
        2) Tummy Tuck Sticks - to help with digestion and flush away all stomach excesses, via green clay (to clot the excesses) and pineapple and papaya (well I think nobody has any doubt on the effects of those for digestion) ;)
        3) Tummy Tuck Gel - to increase cell metabolism and breakdown of fat cells via fig extract. Also to firm up the tummy area coz you don't want your excess skin to sag once you've lost weight. Rachel Ray featured this on her show, the woman who used it lost 6 inches in 6 weeks - crazy!
        See it here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=473702419317489
        4) Crash Diet Gel - to eliminate water retention, lift and firm and increase cell metabolism around the thigh area

All in all, the complete formula for healthy weightloss is this:
        1) Fat burn from the inside and make sure further fat absorption is slower: CD Sticks
        2) Flush out all stomach excesses: Tummy Tuck Sticks
        3) Fat burn from the outside + IMPORTANT lifting & firming of tummy area: Tummy Tuck Gel
        4) Eliminate water retention + increase cell metabolism to target thigh area: CD Gel

I can tell you we have had fantastic feedback from our customers on these, but it does require consistency.

Anyhow, I hope that answers your question but if you want to ask further just email me: liyana.sarah@perfectenhancement.com

      1. Hi Shiro!

Rest assured, the snakes and dragon's blood are all in the names but we do not use any animal extracts in our products whatsoever. Otherwise I'd also be scared!

      1. And the names are there for good reason too! ;)

Snake Serum: The muscle freezing effect (to inhibit skin contractions that causes wrinkles) is alike to the effects of a snake venom and works JUST as FAST - ask Tammy!

Dragon's Blood - is actually a tree sap from Peru, which was called Dragon's Blood coz of it's orange colour and used for medicinal purposes - good for sensitive skin to reduce redness and inflammation!

        :)
