Land of Smiles Coca-Cola from ThailandRecently I was telling my bf that how good it is to have somebody send me their country's coca-cola can instead of me asking my friends to get it for me when they go traveling. It'll be like I swap with u Malaysia's Coca-Cola can for your country's Coca-Cola can. Ok I'm not a Coca Cola freak but I love to drink Coca-Cola and I love how the designs on each country's Coca-Cola represents them @ the country in short.
From reading blogs, I've bump into http://swapsthing.blogspot.com/ & found this new thing call "swapping". As I read on and explore this new & interesting hobby, I've realize pen-pals has gone on to a higher heights! I used to love writing to Pen Pals from overseas and local too, sending them hand-written letters and gifts like photos, candies etc. I realize wow, it's been 10 years since I last had a pen-pal and boy has this trend evolved! There's now swapbots and gimmeyourstuffs and these sites coordinates such "swapping" activites making them "global exchanges".
I really want to know more but I don't know how to start! sigh this means more reading :(
so who wants to be my first swap partner?

Jamie has read several blogs on VOX and I think there is places to join up through Groups! The one German girl joined one where you get post cards from people from around the world, But there must be a person near you or a organization is what I really mean because they usually have a list of people who are I guess for any better word good/ people who actually do it right!
ReplyDeleteThere are tons of these things Some of the Girls with Blyth dolls once a year get a name sent to them and they make a care package to send to there Blyth Doll pall that year! I can see you having a real ball and going nuts making up a care package to send!
I will try and find one of these who give out names and addresses so you are given a new person each year so you end up with a variety of people where you don't get stuck with a lame present giver!
Jamie also thinks you should get payed for giving people ideas for blogs too

1. set a dateline
2. what to swap? (and the price limit like usd10 or something so we can gauge whats our limit.
3. post in a package, securely wrapped (to prevent postman who steals stuffs)
